Dying Green Giant Arborvitae

I have a spot on my yard that gets half day sun in the morning and late afternoon. I've planted at least 12 arborvitaes in this area in the past and they've all died the same way - browning and curling. I know in the past it's been from under-watering, but I want to try and save this one since it still has some green stems coming up from the bottom.

Green Giant Arborvitae

Zone: 5/6

Planted in the Spring, 4 months ago

Sun: 2hr mid-morning; 2hr mid-afternoon

I Did not water as heavily as I should have in the first month.

I am not trying to make up for the drought by running the sprinkler once a day for 15min, but I didn't want to risk over-watering.

What should I be doing to save this??
