Lol, I will stop coloring too when it all gets one color. I just have this big black patch in the back. They found something on the cat scan last night they need to do an MRI and get a closer look at it near the pituitary gland in his brain. I have been so worried I am exhausted. I couldn't even tell what I was trying to say in that last post. He is still very tired too. I hope we can still go this weekend but waiting to hear from the doctor if its ok or not and see how we are both feeling. He is in denial of course and outside working in the heat so I am watching him close and making him come in for breaks and drink water. I think he had heat exhaustion He passed out and had a siezure. Sure wish the ER doctor had told me more before she ran off and left. My sister's daughter in Georgia just had a baby and they had to remove her gallbladder this morning so she might be able to come either. Whats that song about if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all? Lol, things will get better. Just soooo tired.

I find that the hummers do use my M. fistula so much so that I actually leave a raised 4'x12' bed of it in the late spring and early summer the hummers and butterflies use it while the annual red salvia is getting ready. Once the salvias and agastaches are blooming, I tear out most of the M. fistula plants so the seeds don't mature and put in other things. Come next spring there will be plenty of it to fill the bed all over again. I think it is a worthwhile plant to add to the "natural" part of a critter garden. I don't even mind the pulling out part since the fragrance of the plants is pleasant and my sheep gleefully eat the plants. spiderwoman

EG - I "fondly" remember the stove! Isn't that what started it all? Ok - so you are a redneck, right? That means armadillos 'n guns and other wild critters..yada yada. Are you still a redneck when you are sweet? Or shall we keep that a secret? I really need an education in how the rest of the country lives. Now I am not trying to be silly here but the notion of owning a gun and actually needing it on a daily basis is sooooo foreign to me. My dad used to hunt (in the fall hunting season) and shot trap and skeet (???) but that is the only time I have ever come into contact with a gun. Obviously recreational. I suddenly feel so ignorant about the ways of the world. Very sheltered in a princessy kind of way. Uggg....this has reminded me of a very unpleasant thing. When I was about 10 years old, my dad came home with the remains of a moose that he had shot and he had the liver in a green garbage bag. As he climbed the stairs to our 2nd floor walk-up the liver flipped out of the bag. Blood everywhere! Maybe that is what scarred me for life. To this day, I kill nothing. Not ants or bugs. If they show up in my house,, I escort them outside.
