Today's Find the Critter

When I first saw yesterday's picture, I couldn't see an animal for the hunter. Great camouflage!

Here's today's picture.

Is that a black bear? Or maybe it is an elephant!

I don't see it yet. I hope those who find it only say, I see it! Not what it is? Please? Don't spoil it for dumb me!

Wait a minute...you mean in yesterday's picture, the hunter wasn't the critter? There's something else? Maybe with 2 beady eyes? You're going to need to start publishing the full solution in the next day...maybe with a red circle around the creature...

No Annie, the hunter WAS the critter. I was just trying to be humourous.

right about the time Annie was posting that, I was thinking wait a minute... you mean in yesterday's picture... EXACTLY that. I was off looking again. Then I came back to see there wasn't another critter. Whew. Not going crazy!

But I did see something with beady eyes in there...

Okay, I think I've found it but my eyes are blurry this morning. Will check it again later and see if I see what I see. :)

Beady eyes? Probably my first wife!

You really mess me up w/ these pics, ha

You've convinced me I need new specs!

Nothing yet. I might see something - is this a critter we've had before? But then again, maybe I'm just hoping to see something so I can carry on with my day!

I actually tried wearing reading glasses over reading glasses for this one.

This one's got me stumped. I've found what looks like a paw but it's not connected to anything so that's not it....

I'm playing around with today's picture to draw a circle. I can't figure out how to do it. Will someone tell me how? My edit buttons only give "retouch", rotate, red-eye and a few other non-useful choices.

I thought I'd found a subject, too...but now I'm not so sure. I'm working with a replacement pair of glasses and I have some doubts about whether the bi-focal lens is aligned correctly. Beyond that...it's just a foggy brain day. :-)

Ok I'll tell you where I see my critter - on the left hand side and just below where the water and rocks meet. It's something we've had before. But I could easily be wrong.

I see the bear claw as well. But now I see a turtle and a sleeping goose as well. I feel like I'm doing the Rorschach Test.

In the water on the left side.

I still don't see anything. I've tried off and on all day. If I blow it up, I see a screaming face in the water on the right hand side. Now that's an imagination! Carried away. I'm close to giving up.

    I appreciate the hints...but I don't see it...

Jasdip.....flickr has a free editor that lets you draw.....and you could draw around an object. Save it, then download it...then upload it here.

I think I have gone blind staring at this thing. And nothing. I see the bear claw looking thing,I see what looks like a knife, and unless those sticks are a walking stick bug I got nothing.

Jaws ate it while we weren't looking!

    I'm not seeing it either

I see something that looks as if it's hatching out of a leathery shell, lower mid pic. Also see a crab claw on the left, but no attached crab, unless it is hiding in the stones. Maybe a small bird in about the same spot on the right side of the pic. Nothing is jumping out as being out of place.

Annie, I think that's his hunting dog--it looks like a camouflaged blue tick nose. :)

Aha! There is the face of a sea serpent in the very top middle. Is that Loch Ness?

sand mites. It's gotta be sand mites.

How about something riding a motorcycle?

The way I add the circle is to drag the photo into keynote...mac's version of powerpoint...add the circle and then do a screen shot of the image with the circle on it.

You could also add a circle or lots of other things including captions and such to a photo using lunapic which is a free on line photo editor...it's lots of fun to play with.

I think it's a hermit crab and it's hidden under a rock and that's why we can't find him....unless we're looking for bacteria!

    lol Annie

I copy it to an open window in Paint:

Just left of center I see something that looks like a black fluffy object possibly a kitten? If we had something to judge scale by it would help. Are these little bitty rocks or large bolders.

I definitely see a kitten, lol.

Straight up over the something hatching and directly to the right of crab claw is the fuzzy black kitten. The red starfish is the paw I mentioned.

    Got it. Sebastidae. Rock fish.

Kidding. Arghhhh! I cannot find anything alive in that photo and every time I take a break from weeding I have to look again.

Waiting for dinner to cook and I took a break to look again. Someone find it!

If you take mama gooses photo - if you take her starfish and crab claw as the base of an equilateral triangle, then at the top is my turtle. Right above the word claw is my sleeping Canada Goose.

And of course, as soon as the critter is pointed out to us we'll wonder how we ever missed it.

    kitten....ok

That's a kitten! I can see the tail it's stripped. I think I got it!

I think it's a gator just under the surface of the water.

Jasdip, please put us out of our misery and tell us about the mussel bed under the water we were supposed to see.
