What size handle for an 8 in pullout cabinet?

Hello all, we are looking at different types of handles and have come across a few in different stores. The thing is we have a small pull out spice rack that is 8 in and I'm not sure what size flat handle would be good for it? I don't want the handle to look too big for it. What size would you get? We will match all handles for uppers and lowers.

I have an 8" pull out and I ended up using the same pulls as I did on everything else. It would have looked choppy to have different pulls scattered around the kitchen. I think mine are 4-5" pulls.

Anglophilia- thank you! That's what I was thinking but I have some pretty wide and big cabinets and a big pantry. I'd need bigger than 4-5 inch pulls. I feel like if I put smaller ones they would get lost? The 8" would be the only one with a smaller one

Vertical pulls are fine for the 6" pullouts. My KD had recommended I do that on mine, but I decided to put the same knobs on them that I have on the upper cabinets and base cabinet doors. I also recommend only one pull on a 24" drawer, I think two almost-6" pulls will be too big. (Ditto the tilt out.) Now the trash pullout. Two things to think about... (1) Trash will be going in/out and there may be drips...do you want your dish towel possibly being dripped on w/o you knowing and then drying clean hands/dishes with it? (2) Unless you have a foot pedal and everyone uses it every single time (no exceptions), people w/"yucky raw chicken" hands (or similar) may be opening the trash pullout. Since the handle will be covered by the dishtowel, people will either have to move it or use it to open the pullout, either way touching it w/their "yucky raw chicken" hands or fingers. As with the above, do you want to unknowingly dry clean dishes/hands on a dish towel that was used this way? Like I said, a couple of things to think about. (Our towel hangs on either the refrigerator freezer drawer handle or the warming drawer handle...and even very occasionally on the ovens.)

Willis13 - it looks like the pantry needs something longer than for the drawers. Our kitchen is small, so we have one set of drawers that is 32" wide, but the other drawers and cabinets are 25" wide or so. The tall pull-out seems like it needs something longer, but I can't figure out how long.

I am trying to pull together the last few details for our kitchen remodel. One thing I haven't decided on was the handle for the pull out pantry cabinet. It sits next to the french door paneled fridge. I have 18" handles from top knobs on the three door panels. I am wondering how much handle is really necessary and comfortable to open these type of cabinets. I have a small kitchen and this will be my main pantry so I will be in and out of it frequently. It is 17" wide-Any suggestions or pics would be greatly appreciated? Thanks

Kuyaariel - The only thing I have to add is that I noticed that on your drawers, the recessed area of the panel is very narrow, not much open space, I would hold your current handles up there and see what you think of them, if they look a bit big compared to the space available. (Did this make any sense?) Beth - So nice to see your own home and work! Looks great. I love your hood and how unobtrusive it is.

I have one drawer with a smaller pull, in the same style. I think the majority of the pulls are 5"; the one on an 8" drawer is 3.5". I don't think it looks out of place (or if anyone would notice if they weren't looking for it).

Another option is to put a knob on that door, instead of a pull.

Use a smaller size pull of the same family or a knob from the same family. I have a few of the top drawers that my cup style pulls will not fit on so I will probably use a knob that matches on those and I have matching handle pulls in case I would need something else. Once my cabinets and drawers are all in then I will know better what will fit the cabinets best. Just look through some kitchens you will spot knobs, pulls, cups etc all in the same kitchen.

So long as the same size as the other drawers leaves a safe margin, I would just use the same size. If you need to go smaller try to use the same style so that you don't end up drawing attention to the pullout
