Transplanting an Aloe Vera plant. Help!
Comments (50)Wow...a lot of information I didn't know about Aloe Vera. The reason I stumbled across this forum is that I have a very big Aloe Vera (Big Bertha) she is healthy. She seems to be growing up the way at a very fast rate, with new growth always showing in the middle and she produces a lot of pups. The height is causing her to be top heavy and I was wondering if I should cut some of the bottom leaves off and pot her further down into the cactus soil. Another problem I have is that I have one window which faces South and where I put all my Aloe Veras during the Winter. Unfortunately during the Spring it is too cold to put them outside and the Sun can be very strong and sunburn the plants. I have no where else to put them or would covering them with the fleece you would use in a garden help?...See MoreDents in my Aloe Vera plant - help!
Comments (2)Dents you cannot correct. Now I am going to tease you-don't iron them. Many species get bad points from too much water, (often this will be cut off in order to keep the plant neat so they can sell it), check out your soil, size of pot, see what things this group will suggest. I never have grown this species in a pot. They grow wild - in the ground here where I live, thely also get quite large. I don't believe that they can be grown year- round where you live. I don't know if they can be grown in the house. Norma...See MoreAloe Vera Plant

Comments (6)Yep, Dan you are right. I just flipped the light on out on my balcony and sure enough I saw a HUGE mouse or rat run across it. It ran into my storage unit that is connected to my balcony. I'm too freaked out to open that door and see what kind of damage it's done. Yikes! Not sure how to get rid of it/them but hoping maintenance can! Thanks so much as I was on the lookout for those big wood roaches and even put out boric acid. This would explain why I was still seeing the droppings....See MoreRD Multani
