Any such thing as too many blooms?

I bought three small brug plants from eBay this spring figuring I'd love to give these plants a try and just hoping to keep them alive. Wow! I've never seen anything grow so quickly; Jack's beanstalk is nothing compared to these plants.

Anyway, one plant already has the fork in it and has had one bloom all summer. I recently up-potted it and fed it extra fertilizer and I just counted 9 buds on it! The plant isn't even 3 ft tall yet and I'm not sure if it can support all that weight if they're all as large as the first flower that bloomed which was about 10 inches long and heavy. What, if anything, should I do now? Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Gloria
