Late Saturday blooms

Very hot yesterday. No breeze. Most of the rose's were toast. What few blooms that looked decent were washed out for color. Munstead Wood pretty much looks like how I felt after doing all the yard work. Kinda floppy and a little burnt on the edges

Hot Cocoa looking pretty good in spite of the heat.

Hot Cocoa blooms are more burnt orange instead of the terracotta that it is famous for (liver on a stick)

My first bloom of Compte de Chambrod since the Japanese Beetles showed up.

First year bush of Elina showing off. Bleached almost pure white from the heat.

Tiffany Lynn trying hard to get some color to it.

Shameless also trying to get a little color to it. The color is almost there.

Hi Amy, You should get a fairly normal bloom next year. There is still time this summer for the plants to set buds for next spring. This is strange, but not too strange. Too much fertility will decrease bloom, so let's hope you didn't over do it.

I've been into pinks more this year, but Indian Ripple is REALLY drawing my eye! Tide Line is just budding up for me, & got my first bloom this year of Pink Cotton Candy. I love both of those, but TL is a really good bloomer for me.

I did some budcounts on Thomas intros. Some might be off as these are all blooming and its difficult to get an accurant count until you have empty scapes and budscars. So they might be low, but they are deffinately at least what I have counted. S. Sunset 18 S, Friendshp 10 Flamboyant Promise 15 S. Campfire 12 S. Carnival 22 Dancing With Sandra 35 Normans Folly 21 Tomorrows Heartbreak 23 Apache Way Dance 13 Hello Helen 16 Harlans Pride 18 We had that dry spell here of 6 weeks with rain before they started blooming. But since then we have gotten decent rains. So with more water maybe more blooming?

All looking really nice. I passed up on a hot cocoa last week, it was in clearance. After seeing yours I might swing by & see if they have any still. I like the unusual colour of it. Munstead & Lady of Shallot are on my wish list, so pretty.
