I like gymnastics. Did anyone see the French gymnast break his leg? He landed wrong after doing the vault and broke his tibia and fibula. His ankle was pointing one way and his knee another direction. I can't imagine his heartbreak after training so long and hard to have such a traumatizing injury.

I'm partial to what was posted so far. I know the skating and gymnastics terms better than the rest. It's a good thing that we come together at the Olympics. May dreams come true.

Love the figure skating and also the gymnastics. My heart is pounding when the skater has to execute a fancy manoeuvre. Hate when they fall.

Swimming by far. Watching gymnastics now. I can watch any sport at its pinnacle.

What you have mentioned on single athletes who are part of a team. I prefer the team sports. My favorite is volleyball, women's rather than men's. Soccer is not for most people, but I like to watch how the team works together.

Women's indoor and outdoor volleyball. Swimming, individual and relay.

I've always loved diving too. I also like swimming and the track cycling. In the winter I enjoy watching freestyle skiing.

While I like skating and gymnastics, I also like watching the things that are more rarely seen like rhythmic gymnastics and equestrian.

We're also watching women's basketball to see many of our Husky grads who are playing with the UConn coach Gino.

Figure Skating.... I just cannot get into Summer Olympics. It's too slow and way too boring. I prefer skiing and figure skating. Maybe it's the Canadian in me, I don't know. But swimming, diving and relay races... not for me. Especially wrestling.

Debby, we feel the same way. We were glued to the Vancouver Winter Olympics in 2010. Bob-sledding, ski high jumps and slalom, and moguls, even curling! It's much more fast-paced.

For the summer, gymnastics and track & field, both female and male.

Gymnastics, swimming, diving, track, basketball, oh heck, I like them all!

My favorite is the various Volleyball competitions. Since I have played in various local leagues for years, I'm familiar enough with the game that I can really see the nuance of the game and appreciate the difference between a merely great play and a truly outstanding one.

I almost had a chance to see an actual Olympic medal a few years ago. We were visiting a guy that my wife rode with in college, who was living in the Netherlands at the time. He rode on the U.S. Show Jumping Team that had won the silver medal in the previous medal. However when we visited he had just returned his silver medal to the IOC, since one of the horses of the gold medal winning team had failed a drug test and they were being stripped of their medals. On the plus side he was going to be upgraded to a gold medal.

Usually, I also prefer the winter games and don't watch much of the summer games but I have been enjoying them more this year. Maybe because I'm retired and watch more tv.
