"Fi guy, it's what's beHIND the "smile" that makes you nervous, right?" Yeah, it's the dimples on her cheeks when she smiles! 8-) I think I shall now be sick. "She's a good sport." Sport??? Whatcha talkin' 'bout Willis?!?!?!?! A bunch of manly men with body armor chasing a pointy ball is a sport. I can *ALMOST* even accept knocking a tiny white ball around for 18 holes as kinda, sort of a sport. Albeit a very boring one. Driving a car around, and around, and around an oval track.... perhaps more of an entertainment value than a pure sport but fine. BUT (and that is indeed a BIG butt), dressing up in drag on a 4" balance beam in front of a gazillion people a sport??? Now granted, Paulette can no doubt bench press more than I can to be able to balance herself like that but still... that ain't no sport my friend! Not today and hopefully not tomorrow. Now watch it become an Olympic sport in London in 2012!!! OH DEAR. :-)

okay, I'll start...row, row row your boat... Yes, **** for all of you. The first ever intercollegiate sports competition was a rowing regatta held on Lake Winnepasaukee in New Hampshire between Yale and Harvard, so as you all knew, rowing is the Olympic sport. Of course, the Henley regatta in England is more famous and older. In PhilaPa, we hold many races on the Schuylkill River. The 'Dad' Vail regatta is the largest intercollegiate regatta in the US and quite fun to attend. One year, before the Clean Water Act, one team threw their coxswain in the river to celebrate and he came down with (if I am remembering correctly) typhoid. The river is much cleaner now! Boat House Row is a sight to see at night when the outlines of all the different boat clubs are lit in white lights. I miss Philadelphia. Thanks for playing everyone. Off to check out today's question from Nancy. Have a marvelous week. Cynthia Here is a link that might be useful:

Dodgeball?!!! As they say, an apple a day keeps the doctor away. I agree with Dotmom on both the apple and oatmeal. According to my friend, she made her husband eat both every day and it brought down his cholesterol. However, since the answers are always zany I'll throw in Spinach just to be safe.

I'm not really a team sport fan, and along with Lars I really detest loud yelling and screaming over sporting events. I think the Olympics come out about the right time apart from the previous Olympics that I don't mind watching some of it, especially individual events. (Or paired things like some of the skating.) Winter would be skating, skiing, and the bobsled thing. Summer is gymnastics, high jumps, and diving. I wish they'd show archery, because that's something I want to take up. I dislike football and baseball. Yawn. NASCAR is just loud cars. I didn't mind an ice hockey game I once attended, because I simply watched them skate - I didn't care where that puck went!
