ok here are 3 choices i have for door fronts
Comments (20)Also something to think about...what kind of hardware are you thinking of for the drawers? I know that made a different to me--I wanted cup pulls on the drawers and needed to make sure there was enough space to put a pretty sizable cup pull on the small drawers. :) Sarah (oh, and I think I like the Oxford better...but it's hard to tell because I think I just like the lack of a lot of glazing on that door better...I don't know! The first looks more like an inset door, which is my preference if I had the $$...so maybe #1)...See MoreStruggling to find a coffee table
Comments (19)OK I have to admit I like the coffee table you have currently. I think bringing the wood finish over to all that leather was good move. What you appear to require is flexibility for the way you use the space. Why not keep the coffee table and simply add a few patterned upholstered cubes? No more blue. Use shade of the taupe in your rug. Either have cubes upholstered and use the same fabric for your accent pillow, or add something like this cube upholstered in cube fabric. This way you can move the cubes where you need them and it can be additional seating when required. If you size them correctly, you might be able to slide half of the cube under the edge of your coffee table and have them a bit out of the way....See Morestruggling to find everyday dishes...
Comments (35)romy, thanks for thinking of me!!! by the time you posted this message i had already loaded the car twice at our first mall, hit 2 more stops and were just about stopping for lunch! we had a VERY successful black friday and saved a TON of money on stuff for the new house!!! the best part is there are people crazier than us who duked it out last night, so this morning the stores were empty!!! since sales don't come often at anthropologie, i splurged and got the white plates i've been courting for months now and then will pair with the green anthro mugs/bowls. i'm so in love!! with these: and: thanks to everyone for continuing to push the "white" issue. i love both sets and now you can all dine at my house without being grossed out. spaghetti bolognese will look lovely on my rustic white! :) PS: funny sidenote for anyone else who shopped at anthro today. in addition to the 20% off across the board, they were making this big deal about a "popper" at checkout. it's a little cardboard candy looking thing that you pop open at the register and confetti pops out along with one of 5 possible "prizes!" i later found out what the possible prizes were, but mine was a free appointment with one of their personal stylists. here are the problems with that "prize..." 1) FREE personal styling is available to everyone anytime at anthropologie by appointment or if they're there when you are. 2) i can't cram my size 14 arse into their clothes as much as i'd like to. :) anyone else get any Whomp whomp booby prizes today?...See MoreHelp! I’m struggling to find the right dark accent gray!
Comments (11)Thanks everyone! I’ll look into your additional suggestions. One more question...do you think I should paint the 2 story wall above my door the same egdgecomb gray as the rest of the house and forget trying an accent color there? I kinda think it looks boring in the light color, but worried I’ll be forever spinning my wheels on that one given the backlight coming in? @Kjoy, the black looks awesome! I just don’t think I have the guts (and my husband may kill me). How did you mock up the color like that?...See MoreJAN MOYER
