After you hook the bra (to prevent snagging), put them in a mesh bag and then wash on delicate with cool water, minimum detergent, and low or no spin. Heat will kill the elastic in anything as well as mess up any embroidery or trim you might have. Always line dry

I wash padded bras, Amiees, not mine, hopefully she doesn't see this LOL...yes like Poppy says hook the hooks, put in mesh bags and wash on gentle, I use warm water. I usually have lace or some other fragile cami's in that load..oh and slow spin or no spin, hang to dry. I use BioKleen on these. Mine is done in a Duet.

I always use a bra bag or other mesh bag. I wash with warm water. I wash on wash and wear cycle. I don't have padded bras though, so I don't know how the material would wash. I hang to dry or dryer on low heat.

Same advice. Mesh bag, hang dry. I've washed on both normal and delicate and both are ok with the mesh bag.

To be honest I wash padded bras exactly the same way as non-padded ones - mesh bag, delicate or hand wash cycle (and I'll sometimes turn the washer off to let them soak for a bit), medium spin, hang dry. This is for everyday garments though, if I had a $400 La Perla bra that would be hand wash only.

The main thing is to wash them in a smaller load where there can't be so much weight bending and twisting what's in the bag that the underwire bends out of shape.

I bought 3 round bra wash zippered baskets that work very well. There is a plastic basket like top and bottom to the mesh that helps keep the container's shape, so provides less distortion to the item inside the mesh.

I wash my bras inside a mesh bag (hooks are all hooked so they don't snag the mesh bags or other items) using delicate cycle. It has low spin by default. I then hang dry. They have no underwire (I have heard some horror stories of underwire got stuck in the washer and the repair tech had to fish them out...LOL).

Ooohh, those bra wash bags are nice. Wonder how many can fit in one. I accumulate all the bras between my daughter and I for a week then wash them all at once. I hope the 3 bags are enough. They are on Prime shipping no less! Good find!

Walmart has some like what Enduring posted for 3 bucks..the pretty pink ones.

I highly doubt 3 will hold a weeks worth for 2 people. .even the teeny ones.

Thanks all for the helpful advice! But I have a follow up question. Can I wash the bras (say, two) in a mesh bag on Delicate all alone in the front loader? Or should I throw in something else (pillowcase or something--I don't really have anything else "delicate"?) with it?

I quit using the mesh bag when I got a front loader. Wash with my other under garments and nighties on cold water. Hang the bras and delicates to dry and put the rest of the load in the dryer. I keep a mesh bag on hand should H*** freeze over and I put on a pair of pantyhose. I don't wear lace so maybe 'delicates' is the wrong word - whatever you call comfortable camouflage for older gals. My mom used to wear long-lines that hooked up the back. That was a family production but she was a 'J' and her bras had to be handmade. Those were the ones the had to be handwashed. If you're spending good money on brassieres, you probably should use the mesh bag, I guess. I buy Bali's at Ross on sale, lol.

My understanding is that the key to washing any bra is to never put it in the dryer. Always hang to dry. I wash mine with like colors in warm or hot water. I don't think cold gets anything clean. Just my opinion.

Pink, my Mom had horrible back problems. Had to wear a brace, too. Something else to hand wash. Hisown, my bras are clean in cold water. Not gonna be sharing them, anyway. Ladies who use lotions and powders and such might wan t to use warm washes, though.

You know some of those padded bras..the pads are removeable thru little openings on the sides. I soak them in a sink and lay flat to dry, my bum around the house for cleaning, laundry, cooking ect are usually a sports type bra, which can handle more aggressive wash action, my going out in public are the more traditional bra with extra support, I don't wanna be tripping on anything and they need more gentle washing

I sound like Roc with her different microfiber color cloths for different jobs. Mama has different bra types for different jobs. Lol

I also quit using a mesh bag once I got a FL. I just wash them on a normal cycle with like colors and they come out great. Hang to dry.
