Newly Installed Floor - Discoloraton (help!)

Hi there,
We recently had our floors re-done and installed a glossy greyish ceramic tile. I've tried researching online for answers with this problem but unfortunately did not come across anything that helped. My parents are very upset and I hope I could find a solution here.
On many of the tiles there seems to be some sort of discoloration that appears on the edges and ends of the tile expanding inwards from where the grout's are. If you take a closer look it seems as though the color from the tile is being stripped away. The contractors said this was a problem with the tile, but i don't believe that to be true. Any insights as to what it could be and if there is a solution would be greatly appreciated.

Comments (3)Thanks for the reply. No discussion was made with the installer on leveling the upstairs because I never noticed it on the previous floor that was there, perhaps because all the baseboard was up and all the floor trim. Right now there is no baseboard or floor trim so maybe it's more noticeable. So i only saw it after it was installed. I did notice that the previous floor that was there and a vinly bottom, perhaps that was the mositure barrier (although one wouldn't be needed for upstairs). Not sure if that would've previously helped to 'level out' the floor or not. The installer now didn't use vinyl. Also, the Lauzon floor that was just installed is slightly thinner than the previous floor so when we go to put up the baseboard, there's going to be a 1/8 inch line where the previous baseboard was, i tore out all the caulking that was stuck on the wall where the top of the baseboard was caulked to the wall and it leaves an indented line across the wall. Comments (95)I hear or notice the noise way less now, but still hear it from time to time when walking over an area for the first time. We have a couple of seams that have a small gap forming. As others have pointed out and i have come to learn, the problems that we have with the floors are caused by the unevern (not flat) subfloor. So, from that perspective, i cant blame flooret. However, most people that are buying these vinyl floors are doing so for the advertised ”value” and installing them in extisting homes. When you consider the time and expense to make old subfloors PERFECTLY flat, they are no longer a good value. That is my biggest complaint at this point; they drastically under communicate the amount of time and money required to achieve the desired outcome.
