Clematis is not blooming in season it should - why?

Hi,

i'm hoping someone can assist in clearing up some confusion I'm having with some of my clematis. I live in the Toronto area of Ontario I have three clematis that do not bloom when they are supposed to and I'm curious why that would be. It also confuses me as to when I should be pruning them as I've read the bloom season seems to dictate what group they are in which determines when to prune. For example:

Pink Fantasy is always my first clematis to bloom and is done by end of June. I've read this is a mid season bloomer and should also bloom again in the Fall, which it never has.

Henri is my last to bloom (although I've only ever gotten a couple blooms each season - it's 2yrs old). I just got my first bloom this past week yet I've read they are early bloomers May-June and then again July-Sept.

Romanika blooms from mid June to mid July but once again I've read it should be a mid-late bloomer and bloom right into the Fall.
