Would you put a sqeezed out piece of lemon on a plate?

We had dinner and one of the nicer Italian places in town tonight and ordered the Shrimp Linguini. Here is the menu description:

Shrimp Linguini
our rich, creamy lemon sauce finished off with grilled shrimp, artichokes, sun dried tomatoes and fresh spinach.

Not only was the shrimp not grilled but my plate hate a piece of squeezed out lemon on it. When I brought both up to the waitress she told me that they always put the lemon the plate like that. When I told her that it looked like somebody chewed on it she said "oh no, we would not do that". She didn't get the point that the piece of lemon looked highly unappetizing.

She also told me the shrimp was not supposed to be grilled. We got in the car and I pulled the menu up on my phone and it clearly said grilled. I promptly went back in to speak with management and while I was offered a refund for the shrimp not being grilled I was also told that they always do the lemon like that and it won't change.

I wouldn't serve a meal like that at home much less in restaurant. Would you? I just don't see the purpose of that squeezed out lemon on plate.
