Good point jaxo, One should NEVER!!!!! use the paper towels and leave the cooktop unattended, even for a short time! If one had it on boost, or even a "high setting" and the pot/pan ran dry or cooking oil or grease was being used the paper towels would indeed scorch or possibly catch fire. Occasionally, some oil or grease might seep thru a paper towel as it did in the video (I put up on UTube). I just use any dish soap that is handy to remove the grease, and then just wipe the cook top down with a dish towel or even a paper towel and it looks good as new. The cooktop did come with a cleaner, which I rarely use unless I want a "Spit Shine" on it (You Military folks) will know what that means--IE, in everyday terms it means I want it to "shine like my 59"! After reading the posts, I had already tried Sprayway, Stainless Steel Magic, Mr Clean Erasers(once), vinegar and water. But never Pledge. As I only had the orange Pledge I thought what the ****, I'll try it. I used the Micro Fiber towel ( Yes the ones from Costco for cars). It was wonderful and quick. My French Door frig, my dishwasher and range look great and all in five minutes. I call my husband Shrek as he never thinks about using the handles, but now I have a quick fix. Thanks to those that suggested it.

Grout hasn’t changed much, and neither has grout care. There are three categories of grout: cementitious, epoxy, and furan. Most of us have cementitious grout (with or without latex). For that, clean tiles and grout with dilute detergent and water. Remember to seal your grout (once it’s dry) annually. Epoxy grout does not have to be sealed, but it can stain; if I’d does, you can brighten it with a dilute bleach or dilute vinegar. Furan is usually black and used in floors in industrial applications.

The shop vac with the right filter works really good but it won't get it all. On new construction, I used one of those sweepers from the dollar store that have a washable microfiber type cover over a flat surface that is used like a dust mop. You can dampen it and rinse it clean over and over again to get what the shop vac misses from the walls, ceilings and hard floors. It is a royal pain but works. Just be sure to get all of it you can with the shop vac first.
