Cleaning Ceramic or Porcelain Tile Grout
Comments (8)I bought some EdFred shower cleaner after seeing a video which was linked on a similar thread. It did the job on the shower and I also had read that it cleaned grout. I put it directly on the grout lines, used a small brush to brush it in, wiped up with a towel and when it dried the grout was like new. It's biodegradable (but I still wore vinyl gloves). No effort at all to clean up miserable-looking grout lines in our kitchen in front of the sink and cooktop. Worth every penny (shipping was more than the 16 oz. bottle). I'll be using it from now on. Comments (6)I hope you got some money, cuz this one's gonna break the bank: Hot water. This is why you paid the extra for a more durable surface like porcelain instead of going with vinyl. Enjoy it!! Every once in a while (maybe once every 3-4 months) add some oxyclean to the water, and that should take care of anything that might be a bit tougher to get out....See MoreWhat the best way to clean hardwood floor and tile next to it?
Comments (3)I also use Bona. And I think you're making the cleaning process too difficult in your head..........if you had carpeting right up next to your wood floor, you would know immediately that the wood had to be cleaned with a dust mop and a wood floor cleaner, while the carpet needs to be vacuumed. You would just automatically go get different tools for the two different surfaces. But since both your surfaces SEEM like they could be cleaned the same, that's what's throwing you. Use whatever you normally use for your tile, then, go get a hardwood cleaner for your wood floor. Red...See MoreHow to Clean Porcelain tile
Comments (4)We just redid two bathrooms with porcelain tile instead of marble. I was told to only use non- bleach cleaners and no vinegar. Installer said as an extra precaution to seal grout and use scrubbing bubbles on shower area (polished porcelain) and wet mop floor which is honed....See Moreminette99
