I just restored my system Windows 10. My Firefox Bookmarks toolbar is gone - how do I get it back?

- Right click anywhere on your toolbar (other than inside the Search bar or Address bar) to bring up a context menu
- Select "Bookmarks toolbar"

I've done that - nothing happens...

yea I would not have used that download either good you canceled it. What happens sometimes is that firefox for some reason does not fully close, so on the one that says it can't continue till you close it, do a control alt delete to bring up task manager, in the list of processes look for firefox and select to end or terminate process. Or reboot your pc to fully stop it then you can try again to update it. are you going to the actual mozilla site for download? Here is a link that might be useful: firefox download

right you must do each version specific to that browser, so download the firefox version on firefox and the IE version on IE, and remember you must shut down and restart firefox for it to take. Be sure you are getting flash from the actual flash download page, or a known good site, and not from some link on a random page, in some cases that link could be installing something bad instead of flash. Note there you can click on where it says different browser or operating system. Here is a link that might be useful: flash

Thanks Bob, but it was set that way, along with 15 days. Hmmmm...there are just so many very strange things going on here. I 'did' finally get the Earthlink Total Access package up and working....so now at least I am fairly well protected. Just last night, I lost 'part' of my Firefox favorites. I read and tried the answers on the recent thread about it, but do not find them to get them back...sigh. Additionally, the font has changed on my Firefox since yesterday. It is much smaller now. Sue...just happy to be 'on' for a bit anyway

It sounds like your "Add-Ons" dialog box launched on the 'Get Add-Ons' tab. Did you check Extensions or Plug-Ins? That should also be listed on the Sidebar.

I tried that, too. No luck. Do you think if I reinstalled Firefox that would do it?

Yes that might do it, but before that, you may try to refresh Firefox.

Navigate to the link above using Firefox and click the refresh button right on the web page and it will refresh Firefox for you.

I did that, too... I just undid the sys restore, and the bookmarks toolbar is back! Just need to open Firefox differently. Thanks to all of you!

...and it wouldn't be a bad idea to back up your bookmarks now on a USB drive so that you have them all if they permanently go missing.
