I have the sweetest hubby in the world
Comments (18)Mine is a sweetie too - and I have recieved FOUR wheelbarrows in the 46 years we've been maried. #1 was a Mother's day gift, and he rolled it to the atreet full of cast-offs - and when I asked if he was going to take the junk off it, he said that he would bring it back when it was empty!!!! HA HA - the junk was gone and so was the barrow - so he bought me a new one - #2. That one eventually rusted out and I got another one - #3 for our anniversary - (on April 1) and it did for a long time but by this spring it was on its last legs and I gave it away on freecycle.net after he bought me another one for my birthday/Anniversary. SO there we are: FOUR wheelbarrows as gifts for one person - probablly a record, don't you think?...See MoreTell us about your Valentines!
Comments (6)I don't get Valentines...so probably have nothing to add to this thread, but this: When we were trying to buy this place, I would come over here fairly often and just walk around. One day, I saw some daylilies and alstromeria coming up near where an old house used to be. I know that people had lived here for at least 100 years, but there were few signs of them left. I sent a little ESP message to whoever (long dead) planted these flowers. (ESP message for want of a better word.) I said, "I love flowers too, and if we get this place, I promise I will take good care of your flowers." We bought the place, and seems like every time I went for a walk in the woods, or anywhere, I would find a little surpise...an old bottle, or unusual wild flower. Always some little gem. The first Valentine's day that we had the place, I was looking at an old asparagras bed that had been mowed over many times because now it was sort of in the edge of the pasture. Coming up alongside it was a rose bush. Even tho it had been mowed down many times, antique roses are tough and it had been struggling to come back. So...I got a beautiful rose bush...red flowers...and I considered that to be my Valentine's gift....See MoreGifts from Amazon with no gift message inside.
Comments (43)I just received a gift today, a pet supplement that seems to be some kind of practical joke that I have not taken well! I thought it might be a random promotion gone wrong, but Amazon told me it was sent by a person and not a company. They would not give any more details. The only option left that I can see is to deactivate my Amazon account and return any future Amazon deliveries to me unopened, with 'not known at this address' on them, because I will know that they are not something I have ordered. I asked the Amazon chat help person to send this comment to the sender so they don't bother sending me anything else via Amazon. I also asked them to share it with Amazon management but they didn't say anything about that. There is no option to block gifts, i.e. to only received deliveries from Amazon that you have ordered. They need this option in case someone is being harassed, which, in this case, I believe I am. It should be relatively easy to block orders not from your own account, but they said they can't do this....See MoreWhat are these pen-like things?
Comments (14)If you see how Amazon warehouses work, it's no surprise when something TOTALLY random makes it into your box. They will put multiple, unrelated items in the same storage bin and the pickers who fulfill orders get instructions to grab item x from bin 100, item y from bin 350, etc. until the order is pulled. This is old and there are more robots involved these days, but it gives you the idea: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8-DgmfMa5Zk...See More- 10 years ago
