Hi woollady! I just wanted to mention that those new growths are not necessarily new plants, just parts of your plant, and you will not want to divide them. Each growth, even if it won't bloom again, is a great source of energy to those growths that will eventually bloom for you. You always want a minimum of three growths in a pot. Also, ladyslippers really, really like repotting. I repot mine every single year. Since they don't like to be dry too long, the medium tends to break down pretty quickly and this is something ladyslippers don't enjoy. And I have one final suggestion. You mentioned that your lights were on 14 hours per day. Do you ever vary the length of the day? For example, for December and January, my lights are on for 12 hours a day. For February, March and April, that'll go up to 14 hours per day. For May, June, July and August, they'll be on 16 hours per day. In September, October and November, the day will be shorten to 14 hours per day, then to 12 hours per day for December and January... You get the picture. This simulates the seasons and changes up the routine, which can often encourage blooming in plants. I've included a link below to a culture sheet for indoor growers. Hope this all helps! graywings, we did make improvements. Our realtor thought we still had it listed too low. Of course, he didn't manage to sell it! We've signed with a property management company that takes 10% of the monthly rent, plus an extra 15% of the first month to cover their advertising, interviewing clients, etc., etc. DH just doesn't want to get those midnight calls about the plumbing, and this is about the only way he could make himself agree to renting it. brickeye, we won't be trying to sell it while it's rented. I posted earlier, I just don't want to do that to a renter. Until it is rented we've told the previous agent he can show it if someone comes into his office and is in the market for this type of house, but with no signs and no advertising. This is okay with the property management agency. I told the new realtor we just weren't comfortable with a 10-month listing and had decided to rent it. She's the one that recommended this p.m. agency to us in the first place. Next step is to see if it will rent; wish us luck!

For grafting I usually see people use Myrtillocactus geometrizans for bigger cactus like yours, and Pereskiopsis Spathulata for smaller cactus like Lophophora. There‘s other cactus you could use as rootstalk like Trichocereus and Cereus peruvianus, but personally I would use a Myrtillocactus. I’ve never grafted before, but have wanted to for awhile. I have 3 Myrtillocactus right now on the back burner waiting for a grafting moment;). There are some good YouTube videos and info out there.
