Release it! It will be OK. It will find a leaf to take shelter under if it rains. You can see if it will take some sugar water before it goes. Mix 4 parts water to one part sugar. Bring to a boil and let cool. You can soak a paper towel or use one of the plastic scrubbers. If the Monarch doesn't know what to do. Place it on the crumpled paper towel (on a saucer) so the legs touch the sugar water--tasters are in feet! And if it doesn't unroll the proboscis, use a toothpick to gently unroll it so it touches the towel. You are holding it gently but firmly, close to the body while you are doing this. I grow loads of different sunflowers every summer, and am always open and interested in hearing about new varieties that I don't have yet. This is not the way to do it though! Besides I'd much rather hear about personal experiences with the flowers than a standard commercial blurb that one could get off just about any website. That's not why most of us come to this forum! Also I'd like to point out that "Indian Blanket" is a sunflower I grow, but GardenWeb informs me that it is not in their database because it is not a "recognized" cultivar, or something like that. They responded to me and said: "We cannot find any record of this cultivar having been registered anywhere. With all due respect, there are far too many nurseries that make up names and market them with no formal registration/patent...If you can locate the name of the person/nursery that registered/patented it and the year, we will be glad to include it. The information will have to come from a university.edu, or society or botanical garden.org, or something similar, not a commercial enterprise." Just FYI.

A little hard to tell but looks suspiciously like powdery mildew in the later stages of the leaf's infection. Use a diluted milk solution. High moisture levels could be contributing. Also what zone are you in? It's a bit late in the season for northern zones to successfully plant pumpkins.

If you harden them off by introducing them to the heat gradually, I don't see a problem. Start with an hour or two per day and keep increasing the exposure to full sun. Then I would transplant after the sun goes down. Next day should not have any wilting if the roots are not disturbed. Good Luck!
