Nicole, I bought this feeder for our pair of cardinals and thought it would deter the squirrels--uh, no. I guess she shinnies up the skinny pole because all other objects in the photo are too far away for her to climb on and jump. (I'm guessing it's a female, because she is a big squirrel.) This rose is usually the first to bloom in my garden in the spring, 'Thérèse Bugnet'.

Had 2 Monarch eclose yesterday. This first one took 23 days from the formation of the chrysalis. At least a week longer than usual. The unusually cool weather perhaps? The second one I spotted a few feet away getting it's wings in order at the same time. Don't know where it's chrysalis was.
