Hi Thahalibut Welcome to The Plant Exchange! I thought you might like to know there is no email link on your member page, thus no way to email you. You might want to get that set up before starting a trade post, or replying to one. To set up your email link, just go to the bottom on any page here, and click on Member Pages Then click on Edit your Personal Information, Page, and Preferences You will then probably be asked to login in again. Then check the box Allow other users to send you email via forms at our site. That will place a link on your member page, making it handy for traders to reach you. While there editing you might want to also place your state abbreviation in the one box provided for garden zone and location. (see I am zone 5/6 S In) It is beneficial info to have when trading for many reasons. Additionally, there are some traders (myself included) who often do not respond to many posts where the location of the OP is unknown. By putting the state abbreviation in your zone box, it will be listed in your Member Page, and it will also automatically be displayed each time you post. Happy Gardening and trading. Sue

When I had seeds to trade, I posted on the Seed Exchange forum. I made sure my trade list was up-to-date. If someone was interested in trading with me, they contacted me via email. As with other gardening objectives, it makes sense to define your goals--decide how you want to trade (i, e, postage, address labels, envelopes) and put that out there on GW. List the seeds you have to trade on your trade list, then post what seed types you've got available on the Seed Exchange forum. I "shopped" for seeds on the Seed Exchange forum a couple of years until I filled my garden beds. I kept the seed exchange information (i.e., names & addresses of folks with whom I traded) on an Excel spreadsheet so I'd have it for future reference. Common sense rule of thumb is be sure you get return postage prior to mailing seeds.

gb85, Most, if not all, horror stories you found in your research were posted by people who didn't know what they were doing and proved it. For reference... SADDLE VALVE = BAD PE (polyethylene) TUBING = NO PROBLEM Any appliance that can use PE tubing can use copper tubing but will/may require different fittings. All one needs to do anything is the knowledge and the tools. Lacking either and considering the expensive damage a mistake can bring you should consider a plumber and think of the cost as tuition. That said, what don't you like about your water? Are you on a well or water system? what are you wanting to filter for? Additional faucet at the kitchen sink or ice maker/water dispenser in the fridge also? Is your water softened?

Yay! I'm so happy reading things are getting fixed for you- I hope the finished product is done correctly and doesn't have the same issues. I didn't read every comment, so forgive me if you addressed this already- did anyone ever tell you exactly what caused this? I would want to know the cause to ensure the problem doesn't repeat itself. If it was poor craftsmanship - then I would want someone new fixing them. All I can say is, I have cheap builder grade cabinets that are almost 20 years old. I painted them five years ago (turned out great) and mine today look almost the same as they did five years ago. I have a couple hairline cracks but nothing like you pictured - so little oh me thinks - a kitchen like yours should be holding up way better than my old builder grade cabinets I painted myself. You had every right to be upset too. Again, I'm happy things are getting fixed. Post more pics when they get reinstalled :)
