Do you have a hair dryer?
Comments (33)Like others, I'm dependent on blow dryer for a smooth and controlled look and will not even consider a camping trip unless it includes a hotel room and hair dryer. :-) To all you frizz balls out there... At my last haircut I was commenting on how any hair that has turned gray is also courser and curlier causing no end of styling frustration. My hairdresser suggested a Keratin treatment. At $350 (really? REALLY?), I was not willing to go that route. The next day I Googled Keratin and found an instruction video for Sauve's new Keratin Infusion kit by a young gal. It was convincing enough for me to go out and buy one. Cost, $12. So, last night I did the three step process which took about 40 minutes. Today my hair feels and looks smooth and shiny and far less frizzy. It's supposed to last 30 days. It may be a viable option for some of you. At $12, it's really worth a try. Comments (8)well at 15 amp circuit will allow about 12amp continuously or roughly 80% of rating I don't think that's right. I think you are misunderstanding the "80% rule". A 15 amp breaker will allow up to 15 amps to flow. I believe that the "80% rule" is that a circuit that supplies a continuous load must be sized so that it is only using 80% of it's capacity. It isn't that it will trip at 80%, it's that they want a built in safety zone for continuous loads. Hardwired baseboard heaters are one example of a continuous load. Something that you plug in is not considered a continuous load (for this rule). If it has a 15amp plug on it, you can plug it into a 15amp outlet. The 1875 watts may be a peak usage, but I imagine a hair dryer doesn't fluctuate that much. Regarding the Canada rule, are you sure that it isn't that a 15amp circuit is the minimum and still acceptable whereas in the States a 20amp is the minimum? I can't imagine that Canada prohibits a 20amp circuit. This post was edited by greg_2010 on Wed, Oct 8, 14 at 13:31...See MoreStacked compact washer and dryer that will survive horse hair
Comments (13)I recently saw a laundry hint for those with a front load washer and pets which can have issues with pet hair (and I'm assuming horse hair would fall into the category). The hint was to put the garments you intend to wash in the dryer with a dryer sheet and tumble on air fluff for about 20 minutes or so to get as much loose hair off the garments and caught by the dryer's lint filter before you put the garments in the washer to wash. Haven't had an opportunity to try this out yet, but I will. I have a front loader and will eventually have several pets in my house....See MoreRevlon One Step hair dryer/hot air brush 50 % off today
Comments (18)I haven't met you or seen your photo, Ded.. but sleek, thin, straight is definitely my hair. If i do have volume or wave, it is the result of mega product and manipulation. Ive shared this photo too many times lol.. but it was taken on the day (the only day) I used the revlon brush dryer. No volume, no lift. I do better with my round brush and conventional dryer-- and velcro rollers if i want more volume at the top and sides. It may be that Mtn has more texture in her hair or that she's more adept with the brush dryer than I am. I don't want to slam the product-- just saying that with my single attempt, it didn't do a thing for me. I will give it another go one of these days. Or maybe we need a good old fashioned slumber party so Mtn can do our hair and teach us how to use it!...See MoreOutsidePlaying
