I'd look like the wicked witch of the west if I didn't fix my hair! UGH! I have very fine hair, it's think enough but soft like baby hair. The top is straight and the underneath is wavy. As I'm aging, my hair is getting curlier so it's frizzy if I don't style it with a blow dryer. If you are asking for recommendations, I'd just buy a cheap one. I've bought expensive and cheap and I've not been happy with the expensive ones. Maybe not the bottom of the barrel but just a decent one from Target will be just fine.

I have never owned a hair dryer. My hair is curly so all I do is wash it & let it dry which does take hours as my hair is down to my angel bones. Try to stay away from a hair dryer if possible because it will fry your hair out over time.

I have one but don't use it much. Since I cut my hair short I don't really need one, just wash and air dry. Beats blowing it out, although it always used to look really pretty. Too much work for me. I rarely wear makeup, either. I probably should because I look good with it, but I really don't care anymore, lol.

Yes, and use it daily, as arkansas_girl said. It only takes 5 minutes or less, but my hair looks much better with it than without it. And I don't think it's damaged my hair at all over the years. I think thats only if you hold it in one place too long.

I have hair like arkansas girl, fine, but mine is thin. It was stick straight as a kid but has become half wavy and frizzy as I've gotten older. Not a nice wave either, uneven and weird. If I want to wear it down, I have to blow dry or air dry/flat iron, otherwise it looks terrible (well I think it does). I just usually wear it back most of the time or pin it up with bobby pins so I don't have to deal with all that, just wear it down a couple times a week.

I use a bonnet hair dryer once in awhile. I have a blow dryer that I never use. Usually I roll and pin my hair up when I go to bed and sleep and let it dry overnight. I just got a new bonnet hair dryer for a Christmas gift.

No, I can't use a hair dryer. I have super thick, wavy hair, and it poufs out too much if I use one. I just let it dry naturally (but it takes HOURS) and then I straighten it with a flat iron. Actually, lately I've just been sticking it a sort of bun, straightening my bangs and leaving it at that.

I've been using a hair dryer for decades, along with a curling iron or flat iron. No fried hair yet (knock wood).

Yes I have several. One regular size and 2 travel sizes. If I'll be at home for a while I will let my air dry naturally but if I am leaving the house or going to bed I dry my hair first. If I let it dry naturally it frizzes and I have to use a flat iron on it.

Thank goodness for hair dryers! And curling irons, hair gel and spray, too! I have long hair for the first time in my life, and I love it. I've always fixed my hair with heat and product,( and curlers and a rattail comb way back in the sixties), and it has never been fried yet. But I have never had a perm or dyed it, either.

Mary3444, what are angel bones? Do you mean ankle bones? Goodness, that is mighty long hair, if so.

I have two hair dryers..one blows and the other has a brush. Then I use a flat iron. If I didn't I'd look like Shirley Temple. I also put on gigantic rollers when I wash it for just about five minutes.

I, too, wondered what angel bones are! Never heard that term, but love it.

I think Wildchild is right about the definition of angel bones, but in the parlance of teenage boys a few years ago the term referred to hip bones--particularly those belonging to extremely thin girls who wore very low-cut jeans.

Sherrmann, I've never had a perm or dyed my hair either. Maybe that's the secret. How are you wearing your long hair? I really miss my long hair, but figured I was past the age where it would be flattering.

For the last few years I have worn my hair very short. Prior to that I could sit on it. I have no curl, no wave, no body at all and without a hair drier I would be lost. I need it to give me some umph. I use it every day. And like Patti, I'm desperately afraid that I will wake up some morning and it won't work, so I have a backup so I won't have to ever think about going to work and have everyone ask what happened to my hair, LOL.

I have medium length wavy hair and have to use a hair dryer and flat iron everyday. If not I'd be a frizz ball. Back in the 60's/70' I would use large beer can sized rollers which took forever. I have two backup hairdryers and flat irons just in case one should quit on me.

Like others, I'm dependent on blow dryer for a smooth and controlled look and will not even consider a camping trip unless it includes a hotel room and hair dryer. :-)

To all you frizz balls out there...

At my last haircut I was commenting on how any hair that has turned gray is also courser and curlier causing no end of styling frustration. My hairdresser suggested a Keratin treatment. At $350 (really? REALLY?), I was not willing to go that route. The next day I Googled Keratin and found an instruction video for Sauve's new Keratin Infusion kit by a young gal. It was convincing enough for me to go out and buy one. Cost, $12. So, last night I did the three step process which took about 40 minutes. Today my hair feels and looks smooth and shiny and far less frizzy. It's supposed to last 30 days. It may be a viable option for some of you. At $12, it's really worth a try.

Jodi, my hairdresser keeps pushing the Keratin treatment and at nearly the same cost. I am now seeing more and more Keratin products on store shelves, but have been somewhat reluctant. I will give the Suave a try.

I have noticed that my gray hairs are definitely courser and harder to straighten with my flat iron, plus I have noticed since going through menopause that my hair has gotten curlier and I'm not happy. I've spent my entire life fighting frizz and waves.

I have 3 of them. Just find one at a yard sale so you have it. You never know when you will need to dry something.
