• I have seams in my white painted maple cabinets, and I'm fine with it. They open up more in winter, less in summer. They are more visible at night than during the day. This is also true of the "seams" between the cabinets. In fact, I don't see how you could have a completely "seamless" kitchen, given that you have to join one material to another. So to me, it's a non-problem.

Painted MDF, white plastic laminate, or have Glacier White Corian doors custom made.

Yes, you will get tiny cracking at the joints on the frames of your white cabs - it's real wood and they will be slightly more obvious on painted cabs than stained cabs. I don't see this as a problem though, nor is it something I've ever noticed in other peoples white kitchens even though I'm sure it's there if you look closely.

Look at more kitchens in person. If you can't deal with the reality of wood, there IS always the possibility of plastic instead.

Mine do the same as mentioned. However, my daughter just had cabinets installed and there isn't the same problem. These are custom cabinets from a NYC company.

MDF doors. I've got them. It's one solid piece of material. No shrinking or expanding. It's not a step down in material. It's an excellent material to use for painted kitchens.
