Hi,

We just put down Palmetto St Aug sod. We dug up the extremely patchy centipede that would not grow due to shade. Our neighborhood has many large trees and everybody with centipede has this problem. Initially the sod looked great. We were told by the sod company that it was imperative to water at least 1-1.5 hours per day in the first 15 days. I'm in New Orleans and it is HOT. So we started increasing our watering. That is when is the sod started getting more brown and yellowing. I asked the sod company if I was watering too much, they said no, that the ground underneath should be saturated. After doing a little reading I am afraid I was given wrong advice. But they are the professionals and have been in business 40 years! I'm so disappointed. We put in a lot of labor ( a LOT). Can the damage be reversed?
