Folding fitted sheets. I just don't do it. Either they immediately go back on the bed, or they get wadded up and stuffed on a shelf.

Interesting about the wallpaper. I just finished one wall in the kitchen/dinette. Two layers of paper. Every one stays out of my way when I am doing that (except the cat). Put on some tunes and away I go.

Jim_1- your comment about the fitted sheets made me laugh. I never learned how to fold a fitted sheet either so I also either put them back on the bed or wad them up, put the folded flat sheet on top to smash it down and put them in the closet :)

Ditto the comments about cleaning. I hate it. My kids startrd doing chores so I make them clean. They learn responsibility, and I am finally reaping the rewards of having kids (just kidding of course). They are fantastic little people.

I don't like cleaning or chores of any kind. I don't mind cooking usually, I need help these days for chopping and hand tasks I can't do anymore. I have had a cleaning lady for several years and very thankful for them. Now I just can't do things I would need to do, hubby doesn't mind vacuuming so he helps out.

I hate having dental work done. Stems from having the worst dentist ever when I was a child. Scared me for life.

I don't do ironing anymore did my share of it.

Folding fitted sheets is easy! My first husband's grandmother taught me how to do it back in 1970, and I've been folding fitted sheets ever since.

Vacuum. It hurts my ears. I can fold fitted sheets like a pro and I don't mind washing dishes by hand. And the dog grinds her toenails off chasing a tennis ball on the driveway, thank goodness!

For some reason, I really hate emptying the dishwasher! And cleaning the litter boxes.

We had cats for 20 some odd years. I cleaned the liter box once. It was one stipulation when we got them: mom does not do liter boxes. I also hate cleaning the bathroom. But someone has to do that....

I'm just a hair over 5 feet tall. Folding DH double XL Tall tee shirts is challenging enough. LOL No way could I STAND and drape our king sized bedding over my arm like she does. I'd end up stepping on an end, tripping and getting tangled in the damn sheet. So I will continue with my tuck in the first two corner and roll it up method.

I hate vacuuming and mopping floors. The. Worst. Chore. Ever.

I hate changing the sheets on my grandson's bed. It's a three quarter and I have not found fitted sheets for it. So I use doubles and secure the bottom sheet with garters. So I have to hoist up the mattress to attach the garters to a double fitted sheet to make it snug. Hate it. Do it every darn week.

Scotty, we have a slate shower and wipe the glass after use so I'm lucky there, but it's the not the bowl that's the problem, it's cleaning the outside of it and down by the floor and with three bathrooms ... bleh...

Our lab sheds a ton too, but since her hair is short, I brush her a little every time I take her outside. She's very vain and loves to get "pretty". For her nails, we use the groomer at the day care she goes to. He zaps them every couple of months and for 10 dollars it's worth it.

I do feel fortunate though because other than the bathrooms, my husband is more than willing to do the things I'm tired of doing or visa versa. We're a team, if one doesn't feel up to it the other steps in and takes a turn.

Clean my oven and behind it...and the sides. Gross. Apparently it has been awhile since I've done this because it was pretty disgusting.

I really dislike cleaning house and gardening, especially weeding the garden. Blech!! I tell myself that I really should hire a cleaning woman, and quit gardening, except for some perennials. I'm such a gardening wimp that when DM was in the hospital and she asked me to pick the beans, I grumbled to myself the whole time when I had to stick my arms into those prickly, itchy bean plants! What's wrong with going to the store for beans? LOL!

I cook (which I love) and clean with DH's help which I am not a fan of. Deep cleaning...the bi annual tear it all apart I can't like. I wish I could afford a weekly maid and the twice yearly deep clean, it is just really pricey because of having HUGE, hairy dogs. I still pick the dogs over a pristine house.

After a trip. doing laundry and organizing mail that collected in the interim.

Ironing I hate with a passion. I finally got a cleaning lady and she changes the sheets on our two beds, providing that I lay them out for her. I would love to have her do the ironing, but I'm too chicken to ask. I put the ironing back in the dryer sometimes, but then I mostly forget to take it out. Our two grown up daughters never iron., one doesn't even have an ironing board. Also I hate deciding what to make for dinner. Not much I like about housework!

I hate to make phone calls. Hate. Yes, really.

Dusting is my least favorite task because it's endless.

I hate washing floors. Don't mind vacuuming, just washing! The least repugnant is to put a damp bar cloth on the Swiffer and swipe, and all I can say is it's a good thing we don't have babies crawling on the floor.

I also hate planning a trip. I like going somewhere, I just don't like planning it. I'd rather stay home than plan. Fortunately, DH LIVES for planning and executing travel for fun and when he has to travel for work.

Hate ironing so I don't do it anymore. Now number one is vacuuming. I have antique hooked and braided rugs on all the floors thruout the house. Upstairs, since we don't wear shoes there, I use the carpet sweeper, but downstairs I get this big lumbering thing out and curse under my breath the whole time. With five pets, it's something that needs done.

As for dogs' nails. I've had four dogs and have two now. I have never trimmed their nails. When they go to the vet or a doggie fair where they do free trimming, they always say...looking good. Walking three miles a day on sidewalks wears them off. I don't even think about doing cats. They have scratching things.

Although I can't do very much at one time.....I love housework. The reward of a clean, orderly, fresh smelling home is everything. Sheet folding... no problem. Ironing... no problem. Grooming Schultz... no problem.

Shopping for bathing suits, bras, and jeans... pure TORTURE!

I dislike so many home-related things I ought to make my "advance" reservation for a partial-assisted-living place now! I've given up trying to give my dog a bath, forget about me trying the nails! (I take her either to the vet, who also offers grooming/bath services, and she can get her nails clipped during the same trip, or to a nearby pet-grooming place.) She is one fierce fighter when I try to put her in our tub. And she's not even a big German shepherd or a black lab -- she's a "Toto" (cairn terrier)!

One more thing I hate but haven't seen posted is grocery shopping. I do make a shopping list & am in & out in 15 minutes but I still hate it.

I'm laughing about the fitted sheets. I saw Martha Stewart do it but mine never cooperate & always look disfigured.

I also hate talking on the phone & avoid at all costs. Text & email are the best inventions in my book.

I've never went bra shopping so I can't attest to that. I always thought it looked fun, but that's a male perspective....

I also hate mopping the floor. With 2 dogs the always like to walk on the wet floor & slide all over the place.

I agree, oven cleaning is no fun. I have a self cleaning oven that I've used a couple times but it gets way too hot for hours & the putred smell burning inside makes me sick.

I don't have a litter box but picking up dog poop twice a day is no fun either.

I have a new HATE HATE HATE!!! I HATE waiting for soft close features on cabinets and especially toilet seats!!! DH put a new toilet seat on tonight. UGH. It's lightweight, it has a weird l slope to the hole in the seat and that thing has that #$$@%%% soft close feature! Made him pull the old one out of the garbage. Tomorrow he'll disinfect the old one and remount it. Meanwhile does anyone know of a good,comfortable elongated seat for those of us who know how to close a lid by ourselves?

I too HATE folding fitted sheets. Over the years, people have tried teaching me , and I have (more recently) watched the youtube examples that everyone loves. I am very challenged with stuff like that. I am going to give it another try or two and watch again. Mine have improved, but they look nothing like what they promise.. :)

I don't mind cleaning, in fact I enjoy most of it.

I drive daily (work, errands etc) but I have never gotten to like or be indifferent to driving on highways. I can do it, but it still makes me nervous (especially if the highways are heavily traveled). I always say I am high functioning but I do have driving issues.

1. Talking on the phone, especially now that people use cell phones. They cut out if you happen to talk over each other and you spend the entire conversation repeating what you said.

2. Filling the car with gas.

3. Taking the car into the dealership for service.

4. Going to the mall or shopping for clothes.

I must be a freak of nature because I don't mind any of the housewifery tasks, and I think that's because I have a tidy hubby who can perform the tasks equally as good (if not better) as I can, and is willing to help out, when necessary. Just as I was there when he asked if I thought I could help shingle the roof if he showed me how (which I did ;-). He was a janitor at a number of businesses while going through college, and that not only paid well, he has wonderful cleaning skills.

--I fold sheets so both top and bottom are the same size when done, like they came out of the package. I also store them and the other pillow case/s inside one of the pillow cases so they are all together in the linen closet.

--Since getting a steam mop and eliminating the mop/bucket method, that task is less of a hassle. In fact, most of my cleaning tasks are accomplished with a steam cleaner, including cleaning windows. I don't mind vacuuming (3X a week) since getting a cordless Dyson vacuum.

--Grocery shopping is my weekly outing (along with a trip to the public library) and I love everything about it - plotting, planning, list making, food rotation, keeping my Price Book up-to-date, food storage inventory, menu planning..... Armed with a $125/month budget (for 2 adults), I love taking on the challenge. For everything else, I shop every other month, and usually on the first and last week of those month, so I have it down to what is necessary/when it's necessary.

5. Just drifting mindlessly from store-to-store "shopping" is on my hate list.

Giving the refrigerator a deep cleaning. Sometimes I put it off too long but just did it so should be good for a while.

Cleaning the hood over the cooktop. I don't care how easy to clean the sales guy said it was, it's not.

$125 a month for food?? Is that 3 meals a day, 7 days a week plus snacks?

I spend $100 a week, if not more. But that includes dog food, paper products, cleaning supplies, Starbucks ground coffee, soda & miscellaneous like batteries, toothpaste, deodorant, razors, Tylenol & gum.

I hate, despise, loathe shopping for clothes. Mom was my clothes shopper. She loved finding a bargain and my Christmas and birthday bag always had tops, jogging pants etc. Now that she's gone, I'm on my own, and I hate it and I've bought very little since.

I've never given a thought to cleaning the litter boxes as being a pain. Some others here mentioned that they hate it. I used to walk a dog for fun, and I remember picking up fresh, hot poop. That made me gag. I'll do the litter boxes anytime!

Hubby enjoys ironing, so he does that.

Grocery shopping. If I lived somewhere that had grocery delivery, I would do that in a heartbeat!

That sheet folding video is making me feel pretty... worthless?? Is it really THAT easy? OR is that some kinda trick photography?? I do something with all the corners but never come close to that result!?!

On-line bill paying has taken some of the "hatred" outta that chore... remember checks, return envelopes, stamps, etc?!? Now the dread is only whether there will be enough money to cover everything... on time!!

Klseiverd, that's how I fold my fitted sheets. They're not quite as nice as that, when I fold them as I take them off the line. No where to lay them down.

Now, how about the fitted ones with elastic all the way around? We have one set like that, and it is a pain. It even looks funny hanging on the line.

Yep, that's a month (and of that amount I budget $10/week for meat) - and I've kept to that food budget amount for many years through LOTS of price hikes, and have managed to adjust accordingly.

Food storage (enough for a year), a small garden (both outdoors in the summer and indoors in the winter) and taking advantage of "free" food (free-for-the-picking apples, pears, berries, nuts, grains); and I've bartered for food (you can get almost anything with homemade bread or cinnamon rolls - including grass-fed beef, farm-fresh chickens.... ;-). I clear my elderly cousins garden at the end of the season and I get green tomatoes and other produce for doing that job, and being a brilliant shopper make it all possible. Plus, I live in Kansas where the cost of food is relatively low compared to many places.

I teach food and nutrition classes at the Food Bank, Senior Center, SNAP/Food Assistance/WIC - low-income families, so it's a lot easier, and more honest, to walk-the-walk than just talk-the-talk; although in truth, we could afford to blow 10X that amount each month - it's just not necessary. And we don't do without anything.... It just needs to fit in the budget. To date I've spent $775.22 on food for the year (out of $875.00). I also donate 10% in food or cash to the Food Bank.

The food budget is for food only, whole foods - not highly-processed foods and "junk" food, and we typically eat at home 3-meals/day + snacks (hubby takes his lunch to work). Things I don't consider "food" (like snack food, convenience foods, mixes, and highly-processed foods ) I simply don't buy, but will make a homemade version of them for much less. I don't buy KIND bars, I make them with ingredients from my pantry. I don't buy potato chips, I make them in my microwave oven and dehydrate zucchini from the garden into "chips" as a good substitute. To put it in simple terms, I purchase ingredients with which to make the meals we eat. I make all our breads and baked goods (we're gluten-free, although I used to mill all my flour from whole grains and make all our baked goods when we weren't gluten-free).

We don't eat out very often (and never anything expensive), and it and non-food items come out of our "walking-around money" (aka allowance), which is another budgeted amount. No pets (I borrow the two neglected poodles from next door when they need some human kindness and exercise), so we don't have that expense.

I grew up on a farm where we ate pigweed - what can I say? Now I plant it's la-de-da cousin, amaranth, and we eat it instead (LOL). Poverty alters the whole playing field when it comes to food choices. A tight food budget makes you a lot more creative, accepting, and thankful.

You may have to prepare a few meals yourself with your garden bounty to get the message across. That should do it! :-)

Cleaning the tub. I'd rather clean the toilet than the tub!!

I really can't think of anything I especially hate doing. Maybe I hate them all, or maybe I don't mind any of them since its not everyday have to.

I am retired, alone, crippled, and old....so I do not enjoy doing any cooking or household duties any more!

Grocery shopping. i did a free trial of Amazon Fresh and it was wonderful -- would have kept it if i could afford it. i thought it was monthly payments, but it's $299 a year.

I was going to say putting the laundry away. I like to wash....don't mind folding but don't like putting everything away. But then I saw, "talk on the phone". I hate talking on the phone. I also don't like to read my emails or go to the post office. I will also turn and go down another aisle in a store to keep from running into and having to talk to someone that I know. Even if I like them. I know. I am weird. My mother used to say I should live in a world by myself. Most of the time, I do.

Evaluations at work. Either getting our giving them. Getting them is worse because if I am doing something wrong, I don't want to know, and it makes me uncomfortable to hear if I do something well. Just thank me as we go, or give me a raise/promotion if you like what I do. If you don't like what I'm doing, please kindly ask me on the spot, what you'd prefer.

Grainlady has it right about putting the folded fitted sheet, along with its matching partners, into a pillowcase. Then smooth it down if there are lumps. Sheet "partners" will sit better atop each other on the shelf, and you won't have one of those "Fibber McGee and Molly" closets! (No, I am NOT that old!)! (Martha Stewart demo'd how to fold a fitted sheet on Oprah -- it finally clicked for me!)

Washing dishes! This is my first house without a dishwasher and even though it is an old fairly spacious home the kitchen is a galley and it would eat up too much cabinet space. I hate hand washing dishes but I hate dishes in the sink more.

I am by no means an expert but I would think that if trimming your dog's nails is what you hate most in life, some training might help. Get some sliced up hot dogs, many dogs love those.

Don't even get the trimming equipment out at first- every evening, maybe when you watch tv or read, get the container of sliced hot dog bits out and hold his paw for a few seconds and treat him.

You can increase the time every few days, maybe start with the front paws first and then work with the back ones. Then after a few weeks, turn the dremel on for 10 seconds. Don't use it, just treat for your dog not moving his paw when he hears the sound. Then after a while, treat for a few seconds of dremelling. It's a long process because you treat for every little increment but you will finally be able to trim his paws with no pulling.

Cleaning the bathroom!

I have always hated hand washing a car. The color of my car is called Fire Agate Pearl and it's a beautiful color -- looks like rootbeer. More often than not, though, my car needs to be washed. And, no, I won't take it to an automatic carwash, no matter how gentle they say they are.

Being alone and have to do it whether I'm in pain or not.
