We are taking the RV to Oklahoma to be with my husband's family. I will be cooking the meal.
I hope I remember to get all of the items I will need AND pack all of them!
I really need to to have an appointment with my chiropractor.
Get the new custom made mattress delivered and put into the RV. (my back will be so happy)

there's so much more but that's 3 biggies.
Like packing everything else for the trip!

Oh Raven, I feel for you. Hope you remember everything. I have to make lists. Already have two. One for the food and one for the house!

My 3 things:

1. Clean entire house. Started this morning and got everything dusted and the floors swept. I will mop tomorrow and clean bathrooms at least twice before next Thursday (the 28th).

2. Grocery shop. Already have my list made and may make two trips just to make it easier for me.

3. Make things ahead. Need to make my noodles soon. A day or two before, I'll make cinnamon apples, the gravy, put the corn casserole together and make the dressing. I have lots of turkey and chicken broth I've saved, sealed and frozen.

I can hardly wait even though I may only be able to eat mashed potatoes and gravy!

Grocery shop, get clothes back in my closet, clean, clean, clean.

Here are my 3 things:
1. Make the food DB asked me to biing
2. Pick out an outfit to wear to DB's
3. Shop for the ingredients for the dishes I am making.

Oh Lord yes I have lists!! And list to remind me of the lists LOL.
I have grocery list, packing food list, packing cooking equipment lists and packing for all of us and the dog lists and probably a few more lists.

3. Find out how many are coming. Eleven have been invited. So far only know of one who is coming for sure. We have always had Thanksgiving dinner out at a special park, but my daughter is divorcing and her husband is the ranger at the park. He has always had to work on Thanksgiving day so we always took our meals to the park. It will be at my house this year, and to be honest, it is going to be a sad day for a lot for all of us. I am trying to make it as nice as possible.

I am hosting my first thanksgiving and to say I am going overboard is an understatement! I am expecting 13-15 people and have the menu to 9 appetizers, 27 main dishes and 10 desserts, that seems about right, doesn't it? :) I am instructing everyone to bring Tupperware if they want leftovers!

Kidding-- we have dinner at my mom's and there are only three of us. All I do is show up. Oh, and wash the dishes.

I don't even know..whatever it is will get done this weekend..only time I have..."the boy"(husbands second oldest son) arrives Tuesday. I work Monday and Tuesday.
My husband has the whole week off. "Little boys" have a 4 hr baseball camp on Wednesday afternoon.

I think I will keep Thursday simple.

I need to figure out a menu plan for the week..and have extra breakfast meat and eggs for that week too...ooh boy it'll be an expensive grocery week!

So I guess:

I have house guests right now, so after they leave next weekend, I will do all of the laundry and ironing. I need to write, address and mail my Thanksgiving cards. And, I need to finish packing and shipping my Christmas gifts.

Food is here, just need to cook it. Only make 2 things on Wed. The rest of the feast is easy Thur AM.
1) get supplies for kitchen update project, can't waste a good weekend.
2) create room to cook/eat in the mess.
3) get ready to bake cookies Friday. No shopping!

3) pack up all of my lotion/soap/etc making supplies from the small multi-purpose room that is off of our dining room (we call it the cozy room because it's so small) so that it can be used to set up an extra (small) dining table to seat a few extra people.

I did schedule a vacation day on Wednesday next week, so I can have a little prep time. I always find it really difficult to prepare for a holiday that doesn't have a free day ahead of time (meaning a non-Sunday or Monday holiday).

Clean house, shop, prepare as much ahead as I can.

Pick out a cute outfit to wear for Thanksgiving dinner at the Lido Resort restaurant in Monterey~~ocean view;)

Repack my suitcase to leave Sunday for Monterey and Pismo Beach~~

See Grandma Bonnie at the craft show in SLO on Black Friday~~

Just chillin and enjoying doing nothing~~

Bake pumpkin pie for my grandson, apple pie for my granddaughter, and turkey dinner for the rest of the family.

Just three? That's a hard one! We will be eating with my dad at his assisted living facility, so no real work to do to get ready. There are still some things I'd like to get done by then.
1. Get reasonably caught up at work so I can take some time off (probably not going to happen)
2. Get my big living room Christmas tree up
3. Get our winter clothes out of the attic & get them washed

Clean the house.
Make a centerpiece for the makeshift table for 12 we are putting in the living room. (We are hosting 22 at our house)
Prepare as much ahead as possible, before my son and his family come to stay on Wed. night.

dh took the week off, and had mentioned going down to his dad's (7 hr drive) but now we get to babysit our dgs for the afternoon on Monday!

have the turkey, and rolls...so it will be shop for a bit more...have to dust the 2 spare rooms for Christmas....but think we'll take a lot of spare time, and rest! dh has been on a heavy schedule for several weeks...he needs the downtime...
