Hello, I saw this spider in Pittsburgh, PA. last week. Is it possible to know its species?

Thank you very much!

It's probably not a spider but a daddy long-legs or harvestman. I don't know what any of them are called, but if you're not finding it googling for a spider, try Opiliones.

My husband refutes my son and says it is a lynx spider (says they dont have to be green). He says they sit on leaves with a lasso and jump and grab upcoming prey.

It's a Golden Silk Spider. Some years I've had dozens of them in my yard. Never been bit. Here is a link that might be useful: spider pic

Don't mean to hijack your thread but I have a similar looking spider in North Alabama and was about to start a new thread. It looks very similar. I can't get a better pic without falling off our back porch railing. But it is the other side of what appears to be a similar orb weaver. The web is 18-24 inches in diameter. She finished it overnight.
