Hi Guys

Hope all you JM Lovers are having both lots of enjoyment & lots of success with your growing..

Just wanted to ask the Forum your views about the the height of the Branch Forking from the Ground Level of Japanese Maples..

I have a few Containerized Red Lace leaf Palmatums of say around 6 - 7 years old and the distance from the Ground Level to the Lowest Branch Forking seems to have remained the same.Say around 1 Foot. The Trunk thickness on these Trees has increased by around 5 - 10 Millimetres. Also the Umbrella Canopies have grown outwards by around 4 - 5".

Are the Lowest branches on these Trees likely to remain at a Similar distance from the Ground ?
