Removing them or leaving them is a personal choice. All depends on if you'd find the fused malformed fruit they might produce acceptable. Personally I don't want the plant wasting energy on them so I remove them on my plants. But some folks like to see just how big and ugly the resulting tomato can be.

So if I remove them will it encourage normal flowers? I believe I read on here about removing them but so far all of the blossoms are weird. The branches are weird too. I guess because the flowers clusters are fused - there are these funny single branches with one big bloom.

How many trusses are we talking?

Maybe 10-12 per plant - no trusses just individual alien flowers. I will try to photograph them later. They have been flowering for a couple of weeks now.

Some fusings, double or triplet, end up with a good size edible tomato. And some w/ multiples produce ugly cat face. Since I get very few of them, I keep them for sports.

I usually wait until there is small fruit. If it looks very distorted, i.e., really bad catfacing, very gnarled even when young, things with holes and crevices, etc., I cull it.

Two years ago my SFT had a lot of fused flowers/fruits early on. But they were all edible. This year in two plants I have not yet seen any. I have about 3 mega ones on different varieties but the are not moving. I'll let them be.
