Nope. Cambria is a quality product and will do right by you. We had Cambria previously (minor remodel) and it was excellent in all ways.

The place I purchased through, hasn't heard anything back in over 24 hours. I'm starting to wonder about Cambria's customer service.

So contact them directly. They will make it right if the place you used is a reputable Cambria dealer.

Cambria is high quality and these do look like an ""weird" crack. Cambria will get back to Pro-Build, after all it was a holiday this weekend and they may still be catching up.

One thing that we ran into recently that caused a crack was a oven installed in an island without anything over it. The homeowner used the "self-clean" feature and teh countertop heated up too hot to touch, and cracked. The cabinets were made incorrectly so once that was fixed they haven't had an issue with the oven self-cleaning. Generally very high heat is what causes cracks in Cambria.

The oven hasn't been used.

The stove top was tested a few times when we first got it to make sure it worked, and then again to test the range hood when I was boiling water. I also par-boiled some corn on it for the grill once. But the range is nowhere near the cracks, it's actually on another wall.

The cracks weren't there when it was first installed and the range hasn't been used at all in about two months.

I'd rather work with the company I purchased from and let them make it right since they're who I paid, not Cambria.

Oh no, sorry, I didn't mean that you used the oven. :) That was one of our most recently warranty calls on a Cambria top is all. It was that particular home-owner that that happened to. And generally the cracks happen when heat is applied but those cracks also generally span the entire countertop, not small sections like in your photos.

Thing is, they don't even look like normal cracks. More like the counter top is separating, just breaking apart. So weird.

I have sold Cambria for many years and can say I have never seen anything like that. They are a stand up company and will rectify this situation for you... just an FYI - the paperwork that has to be done to get the ball rolling is time consuming and there are many back to back phone calls to finally get the inspection appointment... both ProBuild and Cambria will come though I am sure... keep us informed of the outcome... I am quite curious as to what this is...

The first picture is baffling... I don't know if it's a faulty product on Cambria's part or some type of fabricating/install issue but I certainly hope you get new counters and they don't try to fill the cracks...

@mrsshayne - The counter tops were installed on 4/15. There were no cracks.

To be honest, I don't mind if they can fill them and have them still look good. But I would need a guarantee it won't happen again, and that means they need to know what's causing it...

Take the photos in to the fabricator and see what needs to happen with them still - I've never seen anything quite like that in a Cambria top - Cambria is super picky about the fabricators they work with and insist that they stand behind the product, so definitely talk to the place you ordered it - if not, who installed it - they should be your next stop. I've never seen Cambria *not* make it right, for what it's worth.

I've seen lots of heat damage in quartz and that ain't it. Somebody mixed a bad batch at the factory I'll bet and I doubt this is the only complaint they're getting. Cambria might cut the fabricator a new sheet or two, but they'll take the labor out of the fabricator's hide.

With all that movement, those could be filled fairly inconspicuously and inexpensively, but who's to say its internal stresses are through?

As per Probuild; "They told me someone is inspecting the pictures and are figuring out a date to go out and fix the problem."

I'm not sure what that means, but I'm guessing someone is going to contact me to set up a date for them to come out and see it.

We'll be going up tomorrow night and I'm going to inspect every.single.inch of my cabs, and even island, for more cracks.
