Earlier, some of my broccoli were top heavy and leaned over some after rain and wind. I just move some more dirt in around the stems and straighten them up.

Depending on your location it may be far too late in the season for broccoli, far too warm. It is an early spring crop. Your plants are very leggy with stretched stems so if these were transplants they weren't planted deep inough. If grown from direct seeding then that appearance is normally caused by too little sun and/or overly warm temperatures.

Like Wayne said you can try mounding up the soil around them to help keep them upright but if weather is hot they will just bolt and not produce.

Yes, I kinda figured that they were planted too late and was already planning on planting much earlier next year. I guess I'll just try my best to support them and hope they produce at least a little this year.

They were planted from seed in early June in Virginia. It was the earliest I could do it unfortunately as I had to build the raised bed first.

In most of VA, early June would have been much too late to put in transplants, much less seed.

If you can keep them happy, you may get some phenomenal fall broc in September.

You are late for spring planting and a little early for fall. If you can get them through the heat of summer then you might still be able to get a fall crop.
