My skinny small bathroom redo
Comments (19)Here is the link to my silly green powder room. Many people who walked in my house when I bought it said, "that is the first thing I would change!" To which I replied, "it is the only thing I am not changing." I updated every wall, floor, lighting, doors and trim in every room as well as the kitchen and main bath. But I left the green powder room! I removed the wallpaper and painted, (very pale green, can't tell in photos), took the sink off the wall, cleaned it up, put a new faucet on it and replumbed it, new medicine cabinet and new light fixture and got a green toilet seat. And of course, if you are going to have a silly little green powder room, a parade of Haitian geckos adds to the silliness and are quite the conversation piece! Comments (6)I have a very small bathroom myself. I don't even have a miniature vanity. Just a sink on the wall. I was able to fit a small table 9" deep, in front of the heating vent. There is a top shelf even with the height of the sink and a bottom shelf. Every little bit helps for storage and organizing in a small bathroom. If your door swings would interfere with even a 9" deep table you could try a demilune table. Love the Orange accents! Comments (55)I think we're going to have to have an electrician come in and rewire the house or something. The bathroom, the two fan lights in the kitchen, and the lights in the main room in the basement go out all the time. Doesn't matter what kind of bulbs we put in there, they burn out. Yet the light over the sink is on pretty much 24/7 and it's been replaced like once in 16 years. For the last long while, we quit buying the "good" bulbs b/c if we get three months out of them, that's a good length of time for us, but the cost is outlandish to replace that often for bulbs that rarely are used. The cabinet door goes to shelving in the hall. If we didn't have the shelving, we'd lose quite a bit of storage, so we can't take the shelves out to put a hamper in there....See MoreNeed to redo master bathroom
Comments (31)The top left is a walk-in closet. The top middle is the master half bath with a walk-in closet. The chimney backs up into that closet/bath. The top right is the hall and the hallway bath. A small bedroom is below the hallway bath. The 24 ft x 28 ft room is the master bedroom, but I ran out of paper so the 240 ft wall of windows are not drawn on paper. The bottom right is the bathroom I am trying to redo right now. The closet in the far right bottom corner will stay the same. I don't see how drawing the master bedroom, small bedroom, and closets will help because only the tub and sink counter will change. Water is where water will stay. Toilet is where it will stay. I just need to figure out the size of the shower once the tub is gone, and decide which wall gets the sink counter. It will be either a 53" counter on one wall or a 77" sink counter on the other. Only 1 sink because there is a 2nd sink in the half bath. Thanks....See MoreUser
