I had one built, but it's pretty small. It's got a raised bar and is in an L shape. It's possible to put 6 bar stools there, but I have 4 only. The other two are at a bar high teak accent table on the other side of the pool. The counters and bar are covered with granite. It looks lovely, BUT no one can sit there too often because granite is HOT in the summer, and FREEZING in the winter. I'd use something else. I do put place mats on there for guests, but if you accidentally put your hand on the granite.. shudder!! I have a sink with only cold water. The drop in grill is by Pacific Gas Specialties, Model K-40 Ultra. has a nice rotisserie with infra red heat and it works great! We have had no problems with it in 5 years!! If I did it over, I'd have some side burners. The refrigerator is certified by UL for outdoor use. That's important, and the Fridge is great! The entire thing was built in blocks and plastered and painted. On the bar side, I had 20" tile strips glued on for kick protection from those who sit there. This is a good feature. Looks great and is functional. If I did it over, I'd have the storage under the BBQ with removable shelves. Now and then you have to get under there. Shelves are nice, but we left ours dirt because we didn't think of removable shelves. We keep wood chips in there and stuff like that. Oh, and of course I have the mandatory umbrella. We live in the desert, and get some mighty winds now and then, so the poor umbrella is pretty thrashed. I still use the part that works. One side hangs there all broken, but I think it lends character! There are electric outlets in it, so we bring lamps out there at night. If I did it over, I'd have built in overhead lighting.... Like 3 corner poles connected by a funky hanging light thing. Too late to do that now. Sorry I don't have a picture to post, but you get the drift! The Blue Star grill is 15,000 BTU, the Capital is an infrared ceramic grill @ 18,000 BTU & the Wolf is also infrared ceramic @ 16,000 BTU. The Capital & Wolf use gas to heat a ceramic surface so that one is cooking via infrared as one does with charcoal. From the pictures on Eurostoves, I don't think that Blue Star uses the same infrared ceramic for the grill. Trevor? When I bought the house (built in 1992) I live in now, there was a Jenn-Air downdraft cooktop with a grill on one side with only two burners on the other side. I got another double burner cartridge and got rid of the grill ASAP. But that was the older type of electric grill. Charcoal is definitely not an option. I wouldn't want to deal with the mess. We will have an LP connection on one of our decks for a larger grill when we want to entertain. And I can see that a grill on my range would not be worth very much if I wanted to use it to cook for a crowd. I just would like some feedback from folks with infrared ceramic grills or the Blue Star type on how well they think the grill would accommodate grilling just for two people. Of course, the websites for the manufacturers make it sound like the grills are easy to clean. I will have good ventilation so that I will be able to do the recommended burn off. Is cleaning one of these grills much harder than cleaning an outdoor gas grill? The Blue Star that I have been able to see was not working. I don't think I would need to use the grill & griddle simultaneously, but I do have room for 48" if that would be the best configuration. Yes, I don't meet many Jo Ann's especially with the space on the middle. Absolutely you should have concerns. First is fire safety clearances to combustible materials. Open flames are a big contributor to house fires. Second is the ventilation that is required when attempting to cook under a roof. A grill will quickly smoke you out without some way of power ducting that elsewhere. You need somone local who can check specifications and clearances, and who is experienced in designing kitchens.

North Florida weather in march April is great. During the 6 weeks of my kitchen renovation, I am planning to grill on my big grill and cook outside on my 2-burner induction cooktop. Any suggestion on a relatively cheap but sturdy table I can use outside and on which I can put the induction cooktop? should i go for aluminum like this table? Can I get this from home depot, or maybe plastic is not really a good idea with cooking and boiling water? Then there is this table with multiple shelves but it looks flimsy. Any other suggestions? I would love a table that i can either leave outside (in the rain or covered) or I can easily fold and put inside.
