Carol, We are going to have a pretty laid back Christmas as well. Tim's and Chris are working tonight so I'm having an ultra-quiet Christmas Eve, which is perfect after a very busy month. Tomorrow we'll spend a few hours with family and then chill out for the rest of the day. We're going down to 26 degrees tonight but the streets were still wet at sunset and there's a lot of puddles and the air is sort of misty though not drizzly. I'm hoping the water dries off the roadways before the temps dip below freezing. I wanted to make a cheesecake, but no one eats it much except me, so I made simple confetti cake cupcakes for the kids and peach cobbler (from frozen, home-grown peaches, of course) for everyone else. After having the traditional pumpkin pie and pecan pie at Thanksgiving, we don't usually repeat it at Christmas. I didn't want to eat a whole cheesecake myself, so I didn't make one. You all helped us a great deal planning our modern farm house. We wanted to say thank you for all the help and show some photos of our 2 year adventure that we took with your help. We would be happy to answer any questions. I am sorry the photos are so poor - they are actually inventory photos! I will put a link in for all of them. Here are some things that we love about the place: 1. Hide a Hose central VAC. 2. Blum motorized cabinets. 3. Metal roof. 3. The plan that we developed with the architect. 4. Motorized coupla windows. 5. Liebherr full built in (what a pain and drama but we love it). 6. The kitchen island. 7. Serena Lutron automated shades. 8. Insteon lighting system. 9. Just wanted to follow up with thanking everyone. Hokypoky, Aktillery, I so appreciate your positive comments. Outsideplaying - thanks for telling me about the PB sale. There was a recording in the back of my mind all night about the symmetry or lack of there of. I'm going to try to find the matching lamp and have some reading light for my guests.
