Does your body predict the weather?

Mine does. If there is a thunderstorm headed this way usually the day before the bottoms of my feet will burn.

About an hour before a rain or snow storm hits, my left elbow will ache like the devil hit it with a hammer. I broke this elbow when I was 10 and it tells the weather since I was 21.

Oh lord yes and I have been hurting so bad. With all the weatherwe have bbeen having it's bad.

I just looked up the bio of our local forecaster. He's not a meteorologist! He's hosted game shows, disco dancing shows, even hosted the David Letterman show as a substitute host. He's been a disc jockey too, but he doesn't have a degree in the science of meteorology. Apparently he does write his own forecasts. Arktrees, you wrote: TV personalities who's primary job most of the time is to get viewers........ You are so right! I've never paid serious attention to forecasts before this year, but now that I have I can see, at least from my forecaster, it's all about hype. It could be a simple cold front moving through, but the way he describes it you'd think aliens were invading.

Hugs to all of you who are suffering. My knee that I broke is hurting because I am not walking like I used to because of the weather. I broke it slipping on ice and am not about to do that again just to get exercise. Going up and down the basement stairs to do laundry just about did me in because of the knee pain. I have swollen glands under my arms right now too that are a litte painful. Lydia, I know about that ovary pain and I am 51! I guess I will take it because all my friends are going through Menopause and are suffering more than I am. LOL Carol, let me tell you a little story about what happens when you swallow those raisins whole. LOLOL When my little niece Jennifer (now 34) was a toddler she ate some raisins. I had her on the change table the next day changing her diaper and she passed a little gas and out came a really plump looking golden grape. I was kind of shocked because she hadn't eaten any grapes then I remembered the bowl or raisins. LOL That little tiny raisin rehydrated itelf and came out as a grape. LOL I make sure I alway chew my raisins now. Poor Jenny will never live that story down. Anne

Our house cats don't seem to eat any more in the winter, but then we make sure the house is nice and warm for us and they do not go outside at all. But the barn cats sure do seem to eat more when the weather turns cold. (Nights have been down to about 35 degrees and days have been in the upper 40's to mid 50's.) The dogs, who spend most of their time outside also seem to eat more this time of year! And we do give the barn cats and the dogs more food when it is cold. I figure if they have this "want" for it, obviously, their bodies must need it when it is colder. Don't know if that helps or not. I know I want to eat more when it is colder---even with the house being warm!!

My DH was angry to see that Medicare was charged $300 for a PSA test from his physical last month. He's mid-seventies. His PSA numbers were never 'interesting' back when the test was appropriate for his age (prior to 70). We did our physicals at the same time. The lab gave me the option of declining the cholesterol test because I would have to pay the entire cost for it. I did decline it. (Perfect cholesterol is my only health claim to fame.) I wish DH had known he was getting the PSA; he would have declined it as inappropriate. Just because a test or procedure isn't Out Of Pocket doesn't make it appropriate. Jasdip -- Why is your DH having this test if he has no prostate? Is it indicated because he DID have a problem? (I don't understand.)

When I lived in Illinois, I noticed I was having asthma attacks every time a heavy storm was in Iowa and headed our way for the next day's weather. I don't know why it happened that way. Living in California, I don't get asthma from the weather.

Oh yes, hubby's "motorcycle knee" as he calls his injured knee acts up. My hips, knees, and back hurt. Those "Arthur boys" ( Osteo and Rheumatoid) sure know how to predict the weather in our bodies.

I have a scar on my little finger......from 48 years ago.

I can predict rain. It just feels tingly before a storm.

Unfortunately, we have had very little rain.....going into the 5th year of drought.

Don't believe Donald Trump......California is drought striken in many parts of the state.

Predict? Not so much. But my deafness gets worse with atmospheric pressure changes. The weather changes bring on migraines at times also.

Mine doesn't, but when the weather changes, my daughter gets wicked migraines.

I get wet when it rains, chilly when the temp drops a lot. And body feels pressure changes and storms coming, no doubt.
