I should add that I'm talking about undercounter appliances in both cases. The only combo full size units I've seen (which we could put in the butler's pantry / wet bar) are very expensive. Thx!

After having a Miele in my kitchen now for 3+ years and used a bosch in a rental for over a year plus other short term rentals - I would go with a miele or bosch in my kitchen and put the drawers in the butler pantry. Miele and Bosch are far superior in cleaning then the dish drawers and both dry much better and are quieter. Its your kitchen and hopefully you have already had experience with dish drawers. As far as the panel ready fridge/freezer - check out AJ Madison that has a great search engine. Panel ready puts you in a higher end appliance So perhaps you can compromise there. I am sure Uline has a panel ready unit that would work - monogram/kitchenaid and not sure who else might also. I had good experience my Uline beverage fridge in a prior home.

Below is an illustration of an exercise I sometimes go through on a project to point out the efficiency of the layout, how much of the house is dedicated to circulation space and how much room there is for furniture. Circulation space is unavoidable but the less there is the more efficient the layout is.This just addresses efficiency. Other design flaws I see are how insect screens are handled at the double doors in the dining and guest bedroom? Why are there doors there and not windows? Where will a guest entering from the front have their coat hung? If the door from the guest bath to the family room survives, where will the light switch go? Why such a big work triangle in the kitchen? Work triangles work best when they are a triangle. And the list is longer but I have to get back to work.

There will be shelves and/or cabinets along the wall opposite the pantry sink and on the wall to the right that is out of view and along the wall opposite the w/d wall. The oversized hutch that will go on the bare wall is mostly storage. It’s actually a large antique pantry cabinet. And another pantry cabinet to the right of the frig which will be mostly drawers. I put a pocket door in on purpose to kind of make the pantry an extension of the kitchen. It will be open most of the time I’m sure. Presently, we have our drop in range in our island. We hate the range itself, but we really like it there, but I didn’t want the stove in the island this time. I wanted to keep the island top clear of obstruction. So the oven in it will be what we’re used to. The oven in the pantry idea came up because a lot of our cook ware can be stored in the pantry and I started to see others doing it. One of my favorite kitchens on Houzz has the oven in the pantry. As far as shrinking the pantry and utility, not really if you are referring to the bare “hutch” wall. It’s a modular and that wall cannot be moved. I could move the wall opposite the pantry sink, but we want a large utility room. Ours is big now and I wouldn’t want it any smaller. We have a lot of pets. Our utility/laundry room is packed with pet supplies and litter pans. We’re hoping to put the litter pans in the basement in the new house however, hoping the old gang will catch on.
