Comments (6)Mary: yes, very tall scapes, but not a spectacular flower (as perhaps compared to guacamole et al), as far as I recall from last year....See Moreshow me your favorite vase shaped hosta
Comments (30)Hey Paula - Kinda: "the only good Bishops Weed is a dead one!" jokingly that you didn't go quite far enough. We're really both on the same page. By the way, your Krossa Regal looks great. How large is the pot it is in? I bought mine with the intention to plant it in a large Grecian urn, creating an image of a living green fountain. I eventually decided to use a smaller vase shaped hosta in the urn, with KR & Regal Splendor flanking it behind a pair of Blue Angels. I won't post pics of it this year because my gardens need so much work. The weeds won't do them justice. Maybe next year if I don't do something "klutzy" again next spring. Comments (11)I can suggest you put the Paradise Power in the bed. It has the sort of darker green margin that would mix well with any other gold leaning hosta. Maybe even the creamy margin of Sagae. I have a Paradise Sunshine beneath (meaning lower) than the raised pot of Sagae and it works great with softer colors too. I know, you did not mention it, but I bet you have it somewhere in the garden. Otherwise I'd say add the Gold Regal with the Paradise Power. Put some more gold in there. I have a Limelight and it is getting tall like you say yours is. The green flowers are forming now....See MoreFlashed by Krossa Regal
Comments (5)Funny to see old pictures... This hosta has changed through the years and now I know that it is Krossa Regal :-) It is interesting to watch them grow. I checked the pictures from 2016 again and found this... This year I divided it because a friend wanted a piece and had this in spring: I tried one in a sunny spot and it is doing good and one at it's old place in the shade I like Krossa Regal and other vase shaped hosta, they look good in the background. Regal Splendor has the same long flower scapes...See Morejajoana
