Old PTAC units - restore or replace?

Hi, My apt has 5 PTAC units (Ice Cap Inc) that are 34 yrs old for cooling and heating, being that heat comes from the boiler in the basement and feeds the units . Considered their age plus the fact that they might have never been mantained on a regular basis and are failing, should I replace or have them restored? If restoring, any idea about how much should the costs be? If replacing, do I have to get ones with the same foot-print (size and shape) as the current ones, or could it be a more self contained smaller ones that probably will require some fitting to be done - the current ones are huge. I would appreciate any help and orientation. As usual cost is a main factor. Best, Helio
