Comments (12)Looks like the babies are good size so I think they must have lost 2 babies. That's unfortunate. We have a yellow crested night heron that built a nest way in the top of one of the giant pine trees in our front yard. We have been watching and the babies are getting very big for the nest. I think we will see them learning to fly soon....See More
10 years agoA close family friend with his son before heading out to serve in WWII. The war ended a year later, and he came home safe.
10 years agoWe are over run with bunnies this year. Counted 8 in view all at once a few days ago. Found an old nest tucked in a clump of daffodils just 6 feet from a little used back door.
10 years agolast modified: 10 years agoI've been off work since last Wednesday finishing projects around the house. Spent this weekend cleaning all weekend (not just clean, but using the steam cleaner on my hands and knees scrubbing the floors kind of cleaning). I've been buying and preparing food. All that was left? To put the just cooked pie on the counter. sigh. At least there was time enough to make another before guests came.
The pot holder sits where I threw it down.
