OR, Here are some suggestions. Of course it all costs more money to hide things. 1. The hose bib can be converted to an in-ground quick coupler. You will have to reach down to insert the male hose piece into the in-ground receiver piece and you would not have to turn on the water just insert the hose fitting and it is on. 2. The piping, valves, pressure regulator and filter can be in in-ground boxes that are made for this purpose and green colored. The boxes are hard plastic and come in all shapes and sizes. 3. The controller or timer can be inside your home or garage with only the wiring showing on the wall. This can go below ground if you can get through the footing/slab somehow. 4. The only thing that needs to be above ground is vacuum breaker/backflow preventer. This needs to be above your highest sprinkler head and usually is hidden by a shrub, landscaping or small wall. 5. The best way is to have an irrigation installer/landscaper do it for you and he/she would know the best way. Or look at some commercial setups at store parking lots. They are good at hiding these things. Neighbors are good as well. The one with professional landscaping. JMHO Aloha

This area is well shaded and I do not use the hose hanger. I'd love to just get rid of it, but do need a sturdy place to connect the water timer, filter, etx. The only actual hose is the one running from the hanger to the bib in the flower bed. That hanger takes up so much space and is ugly. I'd love to hide it or find an alternative.

The thinking is that if the house water supply ever fails and develops a suction, the non-potable water could be pulled into and contaminate the potable house water. Not good. The vacuum breaker prevents this situation from ever happening, it's cheap insurance. Install the breaker between the timer outlet and the line going to the fountain.
