Good thing I am not picky about my hostas!

These were planted last July and this is how they look now. I think they are FW -- only because I heard the landscape guy say "williams hostas". There are 18 of them at my fence line (about 50 ft from my house). Almost everyone has a rabbit or insect bite. The white milky stuff on them is Deer Scram. I still saw a big rabbit in the yard next door yesterday (we have no fences) -- so it is a constant battle.

They are far enough away from my deck that they still look decent from afar, though.

Anyhow, my MAIN question is --- if my hostas were to get that spring desiccation -- would they have it by now? When can I consider them safe? Most of the row gets morning dappled sun, if that matters.
