Amazing Meat Eaters
Comments (5)BSF suck! (pardon the pun) The negatives far outweight the one plus (efficiency at pre-composting worm food). The negatives: they act like schizophrenic psychopathic drug addicts on bad speed trips with severe cases of spastic, involuntary and uncontrollable flight patterns who like to get right in your face while hovering about an inch from your nose and performing zig-zag maneuvers as if they're trying to decide which of your nostrils to fly into...all the while making ear-splitting buzzing noises like ordinary, cute little house flies amplified to the intensity of infinity. And that's just my experience long ago when a few of them got into one bin. I can only imagine how disconcerting the experience would be if someone encouraged them to co-habitate a once peaceful worm composting operation. I'd imagine mandatory ear and nose protection...as well as a healthy disregard for the unintended consequences of creating a safe haven for the monster of the fly kingdom in your immediate surroundings, or community. That said, I can't say enough about my disregard for the intentional infestation of a thing of beauty like a working worm bin with these flying environmental disasters. I'll just let my worm food ripen a few days in a decomp pot before insertion. Comments (16)I've used the Bertolli 3 cheese tortellini to make a salad a bit more substantial and served as a main course. Chunks of a good mozzarella, red pepper, lots of onion, garlic, plum tomatoes, cucumbers, and any other veggie you choose to add. Top with a vinegar, olive oil, and freshly ground blsck pepper dressing. As a second dish, raw broccoli and cauliflower in a vinegarette dressing is also quite tasty, and a complete vegetarian dish. Serve a side plate of salami for those who prefer a bit of meat. Thin slices of Italian bread spread with a bit of pesto and baked is good hot or cold. Plain bread with a dipping sauce is very easy also. I make my dipping sauce with a good VVO, balsamic vinegar, and toasted garlic. Easy and delicious. Comments (60)Thanks :) But I knew the translation....it's just that I find it rather irritating when people ask for help and it takes me (and others) 2-3 times as long to figure out what they are saying! I never got the feeling that English was this person's 2nd language. It just doesn't seem that way. It seems like it's a hoax - this poster will go from saying something like: "I m jus gona raise him as if its my baby...n im sure il do everythin to keep him healthy...n wid al our luv n care.." And then will say: "This is absolutely my last comment on this...I am not going to give my puppy away...I just said that I would do it in case I see any starts to suffer and before he creates a bond so that it is easy for him to move on...not get him to a stage where he is a total goner". That sounds like 2 different people. This is a hoax....See MoreTried & true meatless main dishes for a die hard meat eater?
Comments (54)I'm a vegetarian and I am constantly trying out recipes. I can't promise your husband will love them, but maybe you can judge from ingredients if he might. These are some hearty / filling recipes I love. 101Cookbooks Coconut Red Lentil Soup Tempeh Curry - I like to do roasted cauliflower and potatoes instead of just potatoes Double Broccoli Quinoa Almost Cheeseless Pasta Casserole Spinach Rice Gratin Zucchini Ricotta Savory Cheesecake Smitten Kitchen Huevos Rancheros Acorn Squash Quesadillas and Tomatillo Salsa Warm Butternut Squash and Chickpea Salad Other Pad Thai Brown Rice Noodles - I make brown rice noodle, broccoli and tofu pad thai adapted from the recipe on the back of this box. I often lazily use pre-made sauce (Sisters Pantry Peanut Sauce) to make it quickly on a weeknight. Roasted Sweet Potato Black Bean Quinoa Salad - I add avocado Breakfast Burritos - Just cook up scrambled eggs and wrap in tortillas with with cheese, avocado, olives, salsa, etc. Chili - Vegetarian chili is very hearty. The recipe I use is from a backpacking recipe book, but I'm sure you can either find or concoct something delicious....See Moreseagrass_gw Cape Cod
