It's so neat I can visualize it! I actually wondered about painting the covers....I didn't know if it would work or not....I thought about it...but then I thought it would look goofy since the outlets themselves are white. I'll check out your link! My mom's making curtains for him...not sure what....I've let her take care of that! She loves doing stuff like that. Jill, I ended up going with Valspar paint. I had seen several posts here where people had great luck with it, it's not overly expensive, and I thought I'd give it a shot. I was able to pick it up locally. I LOVE the gold! I would have been happy if the whole room was gold! Thrilled with how it looked on the wall! The color is called filigree gold. It's actually a Legend paint made for Farm & Fleet stores by Valspar, so not sure if it can be found everywhere. I had good luck with this paint and would buy it again!

For trim (with almost any color), I have always used Pratt & Lambert's Silver Lining. If you go to a P&L dealer, they can make up a quart-sized sample (eggshell only) for like $7...it is a great trim color. HTH

If everything is going to be painted the same color, it will be fine. I measured my dining room to compare to yours: My wall #1 and 2# had same size rectangles but different number of panels because their was a doorway on one wall. My wall #3 and #4 were also different because of windows and doors. Don't make yourself crazy. Paint + furniture + drapery makes all the differences go away. I did this project many years ago, but my problem areas were outlets and a heat vent. All that math hurt my brain!

Here's the sofa area with the picture lowered and area filled out. Showing the addition of a coffee table in two shapes. And also trying lighter mats on the pics to brighten things up. I love what you have going. It just needs to be completed and filled out some : ) The colors are just gorgeous and make for a wonderful and comforting setting to spend time. You might want to start another thread, as this one is bogged down with a lot of pics. Also, once the images become oversized and the text doesn't wrap anymore, a lot of people won't look anymore as it can't be read easily.
