Comments (14)I'm growing them this year in a large pot with an 8ft cage .They are doing well but the Mrs doesn't like the taste. I'm letting a few go to seed in case someone on this board would want to try them. I got the seeds from a GWer in Turkey. They grow to about 6-8 inches looking like a regular Cucumber then they seem to increase in girth,not unlike myself,as they mature. Someone on this thread mentioned they were a melon and the ones going to seed more represent a melon than a cucumber. The Wife says only Korean Cucumbers are any good. She and her Koreans eat them straight from the vine,skin and all. Says they are very sweet. I don't eat them as they do a job on me. Comments (2)The "banana melon" I grew last year had orange flesh and looked like a melon not a cuke inside. It was an heirloom variety melon. Was this the type your friend grew as well?
