I have a Miele 4840 washing machine. I have had it for 5 years. Washing clothes in it makes me happy. Today, I got an error message "Waterproof System Activated". I usually clean out the filter on the first of the month, but we've had some drama in the house, so I hadn't done that. I cleaned it out and plugged it back in. Same message. So I lifted it up and drained it and plugged it back in. I'm worried that this is a leak we can't fix. Argh. I don't want to put a ton of money into it since a new machine, not Miele, is a lot less. And honestly, so many people have had issues with these machines that this problem is not a surprise for me.
