Need help identifying white rose

I drive by an old homestead on my way to work. This is the first year I noticed some wonderful old roses, but one in particular caught my eye. The rose is about 7 feet tall with 2 to 2 1/2 inch double flowers with a button eye. It has a wonderful sweet fragrance. Prickles are widely spaced, curved. Once blooming only. The homeowner says the home originally belonged to his great grandmother - someone who greatly loved gardening. The rose perhaps was planted sometime in the 1920s.

I originally posted this on the rose forum and it was suggested that I repost this here with more pictures. Some suggestions were Alba Maxima, Blanche de Belgique, Mme Legras de St. Germain and Princesse de Lamballe.

Thanks in advance for your input!

I'm sorry, the picture showing the prickles is not clear enough to post.
