Annie_NH Plant Swap June 2014
Comments (30)I messaged Becky the other day, she said Annie is doing well after her hip replacement this past January. Her mind is another issue but I'm told overall she's doing well. We discussed a plant swap and she said that she would like to bring Annie to a swap IF she isn't having a bad day the scheduled day. I hear that some days it's a fight to get her up and dressed. Oh Annie! Deidre and I were talking and she thought it be nice to give Annie with a small gift pertaining to the starting of the great swap group that attended her swap for many years. There will be no money involved for anyone, deidre and I will take care of that. The gift will be from EVERYONE! I emailed Thymetodig {susan} and we decided that I should do the spring swap because she's busy this year. I did the June swap last year and we had a great time. we did miss a lot of the Goffstown group though. I'm thinking June, 10th for the swap date....See MoreNH Fall Plant Swap
Comments (59)Hello Everyone, I will post here and on Annie's new thread. Diane, and pjhendrick, I am interested in any creeping phlox that are not already spoken for. Lisa, if no one has shown interest in the dwarf pine, please save for me. Daylilies - several were bringing them, mmqchdygg, I recall and a few others. I have all yellow. If you have any other colors for me to mix in, I would love one. I have promised a spider and a pothos plant to Blake. Will bring something for the table. Have other plants and garden related items to bring, just not fully organized yet... that is my afternoon activity! I do know that I will be bringing a number of Bugleweed Ajuga, Chocolate Chip, as well as a couple Blue Festuca (12" silver-blue foliage grass, grows anywhere! Very pretty no care plant) See you all Sunday. Susan...See MoreNH Plant Swap Part 2 Final Details
Comments (28)Beryllium - If you take a photo you can post it here; see directions at top of main New Engand forum page under "What's New" "New! Find out how to upload your own photos!" From a photo it's easy to tell the difference between the three kinds so we can tell you. If it's hardy it needs to be planted outside soon. Or you can look at online photos of hardy geraniums (plant outside) and scented geraniums (potted inside for the winter.) As you can see from the photos linked below, there is quite a bit of variety in scented geraniums' leaf shape and size, but IME they all are fuzzy, and when gently rubbed they have a strong scent which varies with the variety from citrusy to woodsy to floral. Stems tend to be thicker, almost like the regular potted geraniums. Leaves for hardy perennial geraniums are thin and not fuzzy usually. If they have stems other than on the leaves, they are thin. Here is a link that might be useful: scented geranium photos...See MoreNH Fall Plant Swap
Comments (33)Blake I would love the coffee grounds for my compost!!!! I'll wait till you get here to dig the hostas. so you can show me which ones you would like. I have loads down by my pool that could stand to be divided as well as quite a few in front of my porch. I seem to remember your husband was pretty handy with the shovel!!!!...See MoreNHBabs z4b-5a NH
