Prep sink, and clean up routine

Hi, I've never had a prep sink before and have some questions on how you use yours to see if it makes sense to add one. Specifically, after and during prep, at some point you have to clean the dishes/utensils that you used in prep. Do you do that at the prep sink or clean up sink? Are you walking dirty wet dishes across your floor to your clean up sink to load into dishwasher?

Please trace me through step by step how it happens with 1) raw chicken and raw meat contaminated items and 2) fruit/veggies prep.
For instance, Colanders, knives, cutting boards, dish that your rested the raw chicken on after cleaning: are these wet dripping items carried across your floors to be placed in clean up sink or dishwasher? If you clean them in prep sink, where do u place them to dry?

Prep sink features: do you have a garbage disposal, trash, hand towel, dish towel and soap in prep sink area?

Has anyone added a prep sink only to find it creates more work cleaning two sinks, carrying dishes across to the clean up sink and having two of everything?
